Never would have made it past, Jets. Better version of Mims.

Yet you have yet to explain how drafting D.K. Metcalf helps the defense. Still awaiting that response there my man. :sign0020:

I like Diontae Johnson a lot. Juju, DJ, Wash as a triple is about as good as we are at any position. I like our starting CBs, DEs, and OLBs but there isn't much behind them at those spots. I guess CB could be better than WR right now. We have one S I like, one ILB I like, no DT, OL is aging and thin, no young TEs, a banged up Conner with questions behind him, and an old Ben. With that, we use our highest pick based on letting Juju go after this season so we can extend Watt and Bud. Not a fan at all.

Minkah Fitzpatrick will need a deal as well.

In 2022 at the earliest. As I have stated before, Minkah spells the beginning of the end for Terrell Edmunds. There will be plenty of money to unload by then.

Let me add, to be fair, with 4 WR sets, there's a need for more receivers than some other positions. I get that.

His size is great. People are in love with that 40 time but he does not play that fast. Don't see anything great with routes, separation or hands. Nothing alarming either. He seems like a great kid. Hard worker. Maybe he can become Metcalf. I think it more likely he becomes Devin Funchess. Again, it's more about the positions we didn't take, than it is about Claypool.

While I would like to place some faith that James Washington can still be a deep threat option, why not have that option be versatile all over the offense?! In addition, Chase is not just meant for stop and go routes. He is a very physical chains mover as well; capable of breaking off multiple tackles in the process to move the sticks. Pairing him up with Eric Ebron now gives Big Ben even more ways to not only attack the seams if he so chooses but also consistently move the sticks.

With two options hitting the underneath of the defense, James Washington can now be left in favorable one on one situations. If anything, one on one situations is where he thrives at as we all saw last year albeit a small sample size. Giving Washington more opportunities is what is going to benefit him not just for this season but also the long term as well.

At this size & weight ...is he not more of a TE than a WR?? If you have Vance & Ebron out there along with Claypool ...wow DB's gonna struggle against that size. Check this out ...inside the 10 yard line what if you have a formation of 3 TEs (Gentry 6'8") + Claypool + 1 RB?? Run/pass ...can you imagine the options??

That's great. Really, it is. I hear you. You think Ben will have time to throw this year? Think we can consistently open running lanes with an old/thin OL group? I love the RBBC approach but right now we have a very breakable Conner and some guys. You think we'll find impact players with the 100+ overall picks? Who's the starting NT? Who do you like as depth at both Safety spots? How about LB depth? All things considered (money and picks) I was fine with CB, TE, DE, QB, and WR for this year. You've had Dobbins in your signature for months. That was the pick. Failing that, it was OL, DT or someone else they loved at a position of greater need than WR.

I think he called him to let him know he's gonna take Switzers spot over his dead body and abruptly hung up on him

I guess this says more to me about the state of our WR corps moving forward. There can't be a great amount of faith in their ability this season or availablility beyond to use that pick on him.

I'm not down on the kid. I think he is a good addition and has some positive upside. But if we don't make a solid effort to shore up our OL, our skill positions aren't going to be in a position to hurt opposing defenses.
