I think out of all the positions, RB would be the least risky when evaluating a player coming from a small school. They did play North Carolina (ACC) and South Carolina (SEC) this past year and the Sunbelt isn't too far off the big boys.

With no rookie visits and no pro days scheduled, I doubt they would take a small school RB in the 4th round. If somebody like Cam Akers fell they should take him in the 3rd or 4th.

Anybody watched this kid play? New Mexico State, Jason Huntley. Burner. Splits out, RB, returner. No he's not the kid from kent state before you say it. Legit receiver. Before kc gets him and adds to their arsenal.

So I wouldn't hate the idea of us drafting a RB with the 2nd pick, but only if they can help us this year. If Jonathan Taylor can't pass block, he's not gonna see much time early. If we do take a back, we need a complete back.

All of these top 5 backs look great running the ball, but which one is the best at pass protection?

I truly will shed tears of agony if Taylor is the pick. Who knows how well Ben's arm will be after he essentially gift wrapped turnovers in 2018. Adding Taylor's fumble woes will magnify that issue of turnovers.

I have seen a couple of mocks of Tampa getting Dobbins. Give Tom more fire power. The connection is there with Spencer as the rb coach.

You make a good point! I dont know if he can be taught how to carry the ball high and tight or not, tikki barber had fumble problems untill he was coached up to carry the ball high and tight :

In his 41 career games, Taylor has fumbled a total of 18 times, with 15 of those recovered by the opposing team. What's worse, his inability to hold on to the ball has not improved over the course of his career with eight fumbles in 2017 before four and six in 2018 and 2019, respectively.Feb 4, 2020

Would be happy with either guy. I don't think Dobbins will be there, though.

As a Badger fan, I do live Taylor. Of any RB I think he will actually be the most productive in 2020 and in the short term.

Just so much tread on those tires he probably won't have a long career. Fumbling is an issue but Taylor has been use to putting his offense in his back.

the dude just breaks tackles....but like Mac said, very similar to Snell and Conner really (power guys). Do they want another or go a different route? We'll know by Sat night..

I'm not worried about Taylor's fumble woes.

Bettis, Tiki, and Adrian Peterson all had fumble issues at one point in their career and they sorted them out.

Plus our defense is getting better. We can probably overcome a few of them with our defense alone.

    Hear, hear!

Not too many Hall of Famers are criminally underrated, but Barry Sanders is one. The best to ever play the position, and in my opinion, the best football player of all time. Tough to say that across all positions (and eras), but I think the gap between him and the next best running back is too big to ignore. His degree of success, longevity, and lack of assistance is a combination I've never seen in anyone else.

Comparing a rookie to him is like saying your kid's fingerpaintings should be better because Leonardo da Vinci could do it by that age.
