Are we sure that story is accurate? Maybe he is just ordering tons of take out....;). Nice job by Ben just make sure he actually hands out those gift cards. People worth millions should be helping out in some way. Glad to hear Ben is.

We can use all the feel-good stories we can get right now. Kudos to The Beard, Jr.

There's a lot of NBA players helping out, they're donating money to help pay the arena workers who are out of work.

honestly, it doesn’t matter to the restaurant whether he hands them out or not. If he bought enough to keep the entire staff working, or at least getting paid, we’re talking a few thousand plus. It’s an inflow of capital when they need it. More good will to him if he hands them out, but he kept people off unemployment for a couple weeks either way.

Yes I was just joking so he doesn’t use them himself

It would probably benefit the restaurant if he never distributed or used the gift certificates at all. It would be the same as handing them cash and expecting nothing in return.

Knew you were kidding. Couple thousand worth of food would destroy his girlish figure. And. Know from experience there are people, out there who could use the meal. We get a couple calls a night for our free pasta dinners. We advertise them for people in need and first responders, no questions asked. We’ve been doing about a dozen a night. Just heard from a local, hospital that the emergency room second shift could use them so i think the numbers are about to go through the roof.

Is he part of the one percent?

I applaud this gesture by Roethlisberger.

Yeah but it would help the people he gave them to who might not be able to work at all.

True. What I’m hoping is that some of these million/billionaires are doing what they can financially while the average Joe can’t.

Tell us again about how Rudolph and Hodges failed to throw even 10 touchdown passes combined in 2019.

They didn't. I made a mistake. Feel free to point it out again. Hang on...

TO THE ENTIRE FORUM: I, THE GLORY DAYS, MADE A MISTAKE AND MISQUOTED THE NUMBER OF TOUCHDOWNS THAT MASON RUDOLPH AND DEVLIN HODGES THREW DURING THE 2019-2020 SEASON. I STATED THAT IT WAS LESS THAN 10 WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY 18.

...there you go. Now, if the only thing that makes you feel better about yourself is to point out if, and when, I've stated something wrong, then by all means, point away. I just find it strange, and a little sad, that my missteps are so overwhelmingly important to you. Frankly, I'm a little concerned about your infatuation with me. It isn't healthy. You should talk to someone about it. Or get something prescribed for it. But sending me private messages when I reply publicly to your off-topic attacks of other board members isn't going to make it go away. Is this all a cry for help? Were you not hugged as a child?

You are the one who jumped into a discussion I was having with another poster to take a shot at me. I responded by reminding people why you might take that course of action.

Perhaps you two could get past your obsession with me and get back to talking about Roethlisberger doing something good. It is a nice thing to see. As much as I have a hard time forgetting his past mistakes, I do enjoy seeing evidence of a maturity and decency from him.
