Please help me with an answer. I am not 100% sure. Maybe I dreamed this....but

When BA "retired" from the Steelers.....which we know he didn't retire.....

Am I right or wrong, I want to say the Steelers wanted BA to adjust his offense to prolong Ben's career. He was taking too many hits with routes that are deeper and longer to protect the QB. It was much like Martz and Kurt Warner getting his ass knocked off late in his career with STL.

Everyone talks about Jameis 30 INT, but he also threw 33 TD's.....held on to the ball awhile and took some shots just like Ben. Ben was young at the time, but the Steelers knew they needed Ben for a few more years. I honestly liked Todd Haley. Ben needed a hard ass at that time. I feel he was what Ben needed at the time. The last few years with Todd, we had a great offense.

SMH, when I heard TB was heading to the Bucs???? At his age, plus he is used to getting rid of the ball quick and not taking a beating. Surely, BA will have to change to a 40+ year old QB. Interesting to see how this plays out.

    Hey NE Missouri Steeler.

What I am in anticipation of is, are we are going to find out now was it Brady or Belicheat that made the Patriots so "successful". The plot thickens my friends. Actually, it would be great if they both crumbled and fell flat on their faces.

    .....

    :hmm:

    Mmhmm....

Tom Brady's last regular season run that ended with a Super Bowl had him pass fewer than 5k yards. For that matter, Tom Brady has not eclipsed that mark since 2011. Add the fact that he went from 4.5k yards in 2018 to roughly 4k last season and it is very unlikely that Brady gets to 5k yards again.

For two, Brady has never thrown more than 14 INTs in his 20 Year Career. You would have to go back to 2005 to the last time Brady threw 14 picks. Brady does throw picks but Jameis gift wraps them to his opposition all together.

In short?! Bruce Arians is going to help Tom Brady I am sure but to expect him to have such production is a bit short sighted overall. Tom Brady is 43 and clearly showed signs of regression last season. Overall, Tom going to Tampa will definitely put the butts in the seats and Tampa Bay will likely be a playoff team.

That said, to say that they could be one and done is not out of the question.

I'm in the minority on Haley too, I liked him but Ben didn't, and that's all that matters...Now Ben and Fitchner can hold hands together and watch the O suck Ass

I think we all know it will be a hot ticket in Tampa, especially when they play Saints.
All I am saying is that the style of offense puts up yardage, but the QB's have to be accurate and hold up in the pocket for a long time and they will take some hits.....unless BA changes.......TB won't hold up very long being a human pinata......for his sake, I hope he has guaranteed money.

Haley sealed his own fate when he told Ben to stfu, it was reported they needed a buffer after that incident.

    1. I don't think any coach is going to tell TB "how" to play QB.
    2. I do think that TB will, in essence, be the OC wherever he goes.
    3. I like what Haley brought from the standpoint of preserving Ben's career but Haley was a ticking time bomb everywhere he went.
    4. I think Ben soon accepted that he had to do more than throw it deep if he wanted to make it to the HOF.

I think Haley might have been good for convincing Ben he needed to think long term but he and Ben were like oil and water. You could shake them up and make them look like one and same but it would only last for a few minutes at a time.

Haley was a better OC than Arians, IMO. The only thing that irked me with Haley was the stupid bubble screens at the worst possible times. Haley was victimized by his QB, RB and WRs underachieving against weak opponents.

I think you are asking the wrong questions.. I'm starting to wonder if BA was the mole for the Pats. We are 1-5 against them since he left. He was obviously bitter he wasn't offered the HC job.

If an incredibly hot pornstar shuts you down, then it's not so bad. When one who looks like a wax figure set too close to a heat source does it...

Did the Pats even need a mole? simple game planning would've sufficed vs our "we don't change for anyone" mantra. That time we brought in the ex-NYG LBers coach we won (which says something in and of itself). Then the refs jobbed us on the Outlaw TD. And sorry I'm probably not going to see your response because my headset, I mean laptop, is malfunctioning anytime I am within 100 miles of Foxboro ( I am currently covid-19 positive and coughing on everyone in the greater Boston area btw).

Interesting! I'm sure that stuff goes on. I think the league should turn a blind eye to cheating, but only if you are playing the Patriots. Let this go for 5 years or so to balance the scale a bit.

Bruce has been successful about every where he has coached.
Especially with a talented QB, I think he lets Marcia do what he wants. BA can draw up plays that fall in the wheelhouse.

Arians is a better head coach than coordinator. It happens.

HC job for what? The Steelers? He was a wide receivers coach at the time Tomlin took the job. He knew he was never in the running. We've always sucked against the Pats even when BA was here.
