We drank generic beer. If you remember it, it had a white label with a black "Beer" on the front. 89 cents a 6 pack. And then we found Bartells. 69 cents a six pack. and this is the late 70's.

to put that price in perspective, a 6 pack of coors, including tax, was $4.02.

I actually really like this move. I saw him on tape alot when I was research Jabrill Peppers years ago at Michigan .

Wormley was never going to be a big numbers guy. Sacks aren't a part of his game but he is very disruptive in collapsing pockets. He is also great in the run game. I thought he was actually a late 1st round / early 2 round talent as an elite run stuffing 3-4 DE.

Immediate depth behind Heyward and Tuitt. Kind of makes me wonder if we may see alot more 4-3 fronts now that we don't have a true NT anymore, assuming McCullers isn't ready for a full time role which he isn't.

By all accounts Wormley is well respected and liked in the locker room, dating back to Michigan.

Depth and/or options behind Hayward and Tuitt is a good thing. I also wonder if he struggled to crack the Ravens D lineup simply because they were good, but then they are now reworking that line so I guess time will tell.

When I went back in the treads you were one of the guys that liked him. As for the whole 3/4 - 4/3 thing that is interesting. I know when healthy Digger was playing like 30-40% of the snap which means most of our defense was not needing a true nose. I am wondering since we now have Cam, Tuitt, Alualu, Buggs and Worm as ends are we looking at more of this "dollar" that MT has been trying to move to? We are pretty heavy at 3/4 DE so it has me scratching my head, is Alualu the odd man out? I know he really played well last year but he will save us 2.7 mil if we cut him. It feels like we have a lot of money wrapped up here at DE no?

Yep. I said in another thread Alualu might be the replacement for Hargrave at this point. Please for the life of me why is McCullers still on this roster? And don't give me he knows the system

Maybe he will be cut after the draft when they see who they get. If they draft another DT he could be gone.

Ravens don't need him for the rest of his contract, they paid an allpro for a run next year. Got a 5th out of him instead of tendering him a second contract or him just walking for nothing. Here's to them letting the hype get to their heads. :drinks:

With Ozzie Newsome gone, expect some changes on how they attack their roster building. But to give up on a draft pick like that is very surprising. We made out like bandits in this deal imo. Nice work Colbert.

I think with O line positions, it is hard for the fans to see a players value because so much is purely based on technique. Maybe they see an upside that we don't?

Without ozzie thus far, they've made excellent roster moves.

Hey I just said changes :lolol: Seriously though, he made good moves (Lamar Jackson) and bad ones (Flacco $) but so have all GMs. He seemed to miss on TEs like we have on CBs. I could care less, I'm just glad this deal got done.

My drinking years started in the mid to late 80's. Bud Dry and Miller Genuine Draft were the "premium" beers at that time. We usually drank Busch, Strohs and Milwaukees Best Light... whatever cheap beer we could get a hold of. Drinking Coors Light from a keg was like a fine prestigious banquet.
