    Dobbins wouldn't start over Conner

They need pieces on every position on offense. Defense is fine for the most part could use some retooling but good.

He would probably cost too much, and he kind of dissed Ben after he left.

Probably not being Conner is the incumbent starter. Doesn't mean he would be the better player so your statement is quite far reaching. Maybe Conner gets hurt in preseason. Who knows? You dont. Not enough to make your bold statements that you are so good at.

Maybe. Maybe he never plays again. Maybe his left foot falls off. Maybe he joins a monastery and becomes a monk. Maybe the Steelers play more games then just this year.

He would definitely have to earn it. Probably even above and beyond because as long as Conner is healthy he’s going to get priority over any RB they bring in. It’s how MT operates....

I am pretty confused isn't this Vance 2.0? I am not saying I don't like the move but are we headed to a 2 te receiving core?

About the same. TE goes down the list now with Ebron.

Huge needs, but Miami, Houston, and ATL were all teams that would have drafted RB ahead of 49 and they all made significent signings. Now only Tampa really remains as someone who would use their 2nd round pick ahead of us to take a RB. Pretty much every other team has it either set or have bigger needs and teams seem adverse to drafting RB in the first round. I thinn come the 49th pick ita our choice between 2nd-4th best RB, the 10th-12th best OL, and somewhere between those two extremes at DL since edge and DEs are usually valued higher.

I just think if a Dobbins, Swift, or Taylor are there theyre gonna run to the podium. Maybe its noy the biggest need but surely its BPA at that point.

I would love our pick to be a stud OL but I think the picks will be slim then.

They just seem to patching everything except RB in a world where likely RB is the only position still offering you a top 3 player at 49 or thereabouts. They havent really addressed DT though and I.would love to see us go there, but if I had to lay money down right now, I would lay it on RB

WR is so deep they probably could do no wrong there. But I honestly think Duck and Mason made a potential top 10 WR room look like ass.

Oh let me add that the Rams are also now in the RB market. So make that TB and Rams really only competing with us for top 3 RBs.

Maybe im more pessimistic on the RB room but it just looks like 3 guys that are good in spots but no one dynamic, and Big Ben could realllly benefit to have a "that dude" like LeVeon coming off this surgery

I think the lack of respect for the Steelers' quarterbacks was part of it. Another part was that Rudolph and Hodges weren't able to adapt to what defenses were doing to the Steelers the way Roethlisberger can. The Steelers didn't just miss his talent. They missed his experience. Even as his mobility decreased, Roethlisberger still made up for a lot of errors by the line, something Rudolph and Hodges couldn't do as well.

That said, Villanueva is a serious concern. Talk about the lack of a threat at quarterback and other issues all you want, but he played poorly in 2019 and the team really needs him to rediscover what he was the previous two seasons.

I mentioned elsewhere that it could be something similar to how they used McDonald and James two years ago. Obviously, they didn't give Ebron that kind of money to sit. I imagine that we won't see nearly as many three-receiver sets with the additions of Ebron and Watt.

I think Villanuevas success was directly tied to Munch. Whole line suffered from his departure but no one felt it more than Villanueva. He wasn’t playing well because of talent, he was playing well because of technique and that left with Munch.
