    They cant afford to cut Ben even if he says no. His monster final contract is a mill stone around the teams neck. Only two options are he plays or he retires anything else and they might as well burn money for heat.

    So the idea of getting him to take an extra yr and less $$ is an idle threat?

    I have no clue what it is, I just know that cutting Ben is just as expensive as having him on the roster, so the options are he plays or retires because the retiring will save some money so really no option, he plays if healthy

    No not me. He might go win one for the dark side.
    One would think $200mil + would be enough to get by on. I guess it depends where he sends his kids to school.
