And there was speculation that he was involved in one of the murders.

A week or so ago everyone said the new CBA was a slam dunk and would be signed and done. Now it's looking like things could be very different.

I really wonder if the ripple effect of things going on around the Raiders move to Vegas is going to change things dramatically? The Raiders are going to be the NFL's version of the Yankees.

I don’t know I watched it a couple times. I didn’t see it come off as bad as some of you are saying. He was emotional and seemed to be raising his voice over the outside noise...imo

I know what you're saying, but that part didn't bother me. I assume it's what the younger guys relate to anyway (who his message was for).

It looks like Pouncey is putting his money where his mouth is...

But is it necessary to have every other word be the F word...There are kids, sometimes young kids who buy your jersey ,and idolize you...I know in this day and age guys like Pouncey could give a **** less about their public perception...Actually, It seems like a badge of honor for some who " get off " on having the image of a less than stellar human being...

I believe that's why attendance is down, and there's the disconnect with fans...Guys like Lambert, Greene, Troy, Hines...Those days are gone...Dudes are concerned with one thing, and one thing only.... MONEY

Therein lies the irony...You can put up a quarter of a mill, but are bitching about being " UNDERPAID " lol, Makes absolutely no sense...It just actually makes you overpaid ( which he is severely ) and extremely greedy!

Was it ideal? No, but too many times the players are vilified for the bad things and their greed but no one takes the time to look into the positives. This took me 5 seconds....https://steelersdepot.com/2020/01/m...ork-as-walter-payton-man-of-the-year-nominee/

    There’s more....

I think the new CBA being a slam dunk was wishful thinking and everyone knew it, but didn't want to print it.

I haven't paid much attention to the Raiders move recently. I was surprised they were on schedule to be playing in the new stadium this season (last I knew).

After briefly reviewing this article, I can't help but wonder if this "Las Vegas" thing is going to blow the lid off of the current financial parameters of the salary cap and the CBA, and if this might be part of the reason the owners were pushing for a quick agreement.

If the CBA passes as-is, the younger players will be underpaid, in his opinion. I think that's Pouncey's point. I didn't see where he said he was underpaid(recently, anyway).

Your link to the article didn't work but I found it elsewhere. That seems like something unique to the Las Vegas area, but I don't know much about it.

Hmmmm, the link worked for me. But anyway, I think the NFL, as it relates to the Raiders in Vegas is entering a new realm of money, in a host of different ways.

It's easy to say it's all about the money. That's the safe bet. But honestly, I think it's more about "ME" than money. It's about the brand and building it. Money is a pivotal component, but many already have more than what they need.

    Two points:

    1) If it ain't broke don't fix it.

    2) And kids looking up to be like Maurkice Pouncey are doomed

I don't really place any real value on the charity work done by NFL players. 99% of them do it only because they have to. And if you have to do a charity event, you will most likely speak semi-intelligently even if you had to hire a tutor to do so.

I would rather evaluate a person based on what they do without influence, and the Pouncey boys have shown their true colors more than once.

Ok you’re entitled to your opinion but to me it looks like they’re doing positive things for today’s youth for whatever the reason.
