    Keep all trade announcements/discussions/etc here.

We will be allowing realistic trades between teams involving player currently under contract to your team and picks from this year’s draft can be made (as long as both teams approve). However just like last year there will be a 3 person "Trade Committee" that has to approve each trade...all you need is a majority (2) vote and the trade is approved. All trades are to be negotiated via PM but announced in public by both teams if the trade is agreed to (if there’s any of you who do not know how to PM or check PMs then ask someone). Please reference the draft pick trade value chart as needed http://www.draftcountdown.com/nfl-draft-trade-value-chart/ Once OK'd by both teams then the "Trade Committee" will announce their decision. As a side note...if a committee member(s) involved in the trade they cannot vote on it.

Here are some teams that could trade for Andy Dalton:

Chicago Bears: General manager Ryan Pace likely doesn't want to give up on Mitchell Trubisky just yet, but he can't enter the 2020 season with Trubisky as his lone viable starting option. He could add Andy Dalton just in case Trubisky continues to struggle. Perhaps Dalton can manage his new team to a playoff appearance.

New England Patriots: I have the Patriots selecting Jake Fromm in my 2020 NFL Mock Draft, but they'll need a veteran if Tom Brady signs elsewhere. I expect Brady to return to New England, but if he doesn't, Dalton would be a decent bridge to Fromm.

Detroit Lions: Matthew Stafford's back is in bad shape, so perhaps the Lions fear that he could pull an Andrew Luck and retire prior to the season.

Philadelphia Eagles: Given Carson Wentz's injury history, the Eagles may want to find a premium backup.

Carolina Panthers: Cam Newton also has injury concerns. The Panthers may want a stellar backup for him.

San Angeles Chargers: The Chargers likely have plans to draft Justin Herbert. Dalton would be a nice mentor for the Oregon product.

I was looking for a 2, but if I read the list right, the pats don't have a 2 to give.

Panthers to move forward with Cam Newton as QB

    By Andie Hagemann
    Around The NFL Writer
    Published: Feb. 25, 2020

The Panthers are expected to proceed with Cam Newton as their starting quarterback.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that Carolina intends to retain its longtime signal-caller, per a source informed of the situation.

As Rapoport notes, while Newton is making progress in his recovery from a foot injury, it will be several months before the QB will be game ready, which complicates a potential trade for Newton.

New Panthers head coach Matt Rhule and his staff are impressed with how Newton has treated his rehab process and the QB's drive to return to top form, Rapoport added.

The Panthers wish Cam the best of luck moving forward, and thank Cam for his years of service here but with a new Coach we think this is best for all.

After some intense negotiations, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to trade their 3rd and 4th round selections in the 2020 NFL draft, in exchange for Cam Newton and the Panthers 7th round selection.

Head Coach Bruce Arians is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with a veteran Quarterback with Super Bowl experience. This move brings an end to Jameis Winston's time with the team. Beyond adding veteran leadership, the Buccaneers are hoping Cam Newton can protect the football. Winston's 20 Ints last year were a league high.

Ouch. I knew Winstons numbers were bad, but I didnt realize they were that bad.

Good trade for the Bucs. Bucs get a legit franchise QB for the next 4 years or so to pair with Bruce Arians.(Thats if BA doesnt get him killed). A chance for Cam to rejuvenate his career. Giving up both 3rd and 4th round selections is huge but keeping our 1st and 2nd round picks was a priority.

Colts, Bears, Patriots named as potential landing spots for Andy Dalton

Posted by Michael David Smith on March 1, 2020

The Bears have reportedly spoken with the Bengals about trading for quarterback Andy Dalton, but Chicago isn’t his only potential destination.

The Colts and Patriots are other teams that may have interest in Dalton, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Indianapolis is keeping its options open for an upgrade at quarterback over incumbent starter Jacoby Brissett, who has shown some promise but hasn’t done enough to establish himself as the clear franchise quarterback.

New England is a different situation altogether. The Patriots may still keep Tom Brady, but with each day Brady’s free agency draws closer, and if Brady leaves, the Patriots need a backup plan. Dalton could be that backup plan. Peter King said on PFT Live in January that Dalton is the type of quarterback Bill Belichick would like to coach.

The Bengals are expected to select LSU quarterback Joe Burrow with the first overall pick in the draft, and that would open the door to a Dalton trade. Those are two of the players in the game of quarterback musical chairs being played this offseason, a game that will also involve Brissett and the biggest player of all, Brady.

    We have a potential trade..

Washington Redskins will be sending OT Trent Williams to the Miami Dolphins for pick #56. Miami acquired this pick from the Saints.

    Will wait on approvals/denials....

The jags and browns (picks 9 + 10) are looking to stockpile draft assets...….. we are taking offers from teams looking for that special prospect and need to move up to get him...
if you have the extra draft capital, then lets make a deal

Hold on folks... we haven’t started, and agreed to start this upcoming weekend with rosters locked at that point. That was done to allow for the first wave of free agency (and trades) before locking down current rosters for our mock. In my view trades done before this weekend should not count. If the owners of those teams still want those trades after we start, then they can confirm that they still want to proceed. If we were not consistent, there will be roster inconsistencies that favor some owners and hurt others.

I put the draft order up and the trades approved in this thread so far. If anything changes in the real thing before Sunday that affects the order or the trades made here, I’ll adjust it.

Unless Trent Williams moves in real life before the weekend I'm still happy to do the trade as agreed. Assume the cam trade on here is no longer happening though?
