I guarantee that Switzer will not be back next year at the start of the season!

And, the main reason is his Special Team value next year will be ZERO!!

With Johnson and Whyte setup for the return game; Switzer will have to make the squad on his WR abilities alone.

He's unreliable, can't stay off the weed , he also wasn't good in his last season with the Steelers.

Hopefully Switzer gets cut, he adds nothing on offense .

After the season Tomlin and Art II said Dupree is a priority, they will probably tag him.

This from Steelers Depot draft profile on Hill: The Bad on him
    No standout athletic trait
    Suffers from drops
Lacks top end speed, quicker than fast
    Faced soft coverage in college

.....and? All guys have bad traits that can be worked on. Would you draft this guy ?

    The Bad

-Relies on body catches far too often
-Struggles to high point the football on contested catches
-Doesn’t play well through contact and can be bumped off the route
-Turns into a spectator when play breaks down
-Limited catch radius despite long arms and big hands

I have watched Hill play, he might be a guy to look at in the mid rounds.

I don't think even Ben is going to be able to save Switzer's job.

What the heck are you talking about? I have said all along keep Dupree with at least a tag, to keep the defense together one more year with Ben. You asked for a source and I gave you two .

Oh ok I just thought it was weird just listing the bad in his scouting report. No one put a draft slot on him. We we’re just mentioning him...

Just that you state someone else is wrong and the Steelers are "unequivocally keeping Dupree"; as if you actually know something the other guy doesn't! Then when pushed about that statement, you say they will "probably" keep him.

If I didn't know better I'd say you just throw **** out there to get someone to argue with you cause arguing is what you are here for? I'm sure you will want to argue that statement:huh:

Who takes his spot on the roster? I hope Cain will but what I know of the Steelers is that Ben has to be comfortable with the receiver before they see the field.
Switzer is one of those guys. Ben has also stated that he wants to use him like Edelman. I can see the Steelers attempting it. Switzer is also very light on the salary cap. Ben is in Switzer's corner. The more I think about it the more I see him on the 53 next year. Just sayin.

I'm not sure they tag Dupree if he doesn't sign their offer. When is the current labor agreement up? Next year? Maybe they tag him waiting on the new one.

Switzer couldn't hold Edelman's jock, I think a draft pick at WR takes Switzer's spot. The guy is useless, Diontae took over PR duties, and Switzer averages about 4 YPC .

I was going by what Tomlin and Art II said about keeping Dupree, I said they will probably tag him, because they most likely won't get a long term deal done. Comprehension isn't your strong suit .

I was just being lazy, I didn't post his whole draft profile.

I wasn't sure if I should agree with the post or dislike it because you are right and I don't like it lol. I think Ben will have a lot of say in what happens with Switz, like you say Ben feels comfortable with him. We have a young talented group(imo) here and Ben needs to start getting use to them. jmo

But he is still on the roster. Do the Steelers have enough draft picks to use one at wr? Do they think that JuJu, Diontae & Washington all recently drafted is their core moving forward & concentrate on other core players needed to fill out the roster? I just don't see it this year.
