Steelers front office has said they are set a QB, but I really like this guy Jalen Hurts of Oklahoma. I think he's rated to go in the 2nd or 3rd round. He really reminds me of Lamar Jackson, but with a better arm. I think Jalen is much more accurate and is a hell of a runner. Could he be another Kordell Stewart? Maybe, but I think Jalen can be a very good QB. I'm willing to take a risk in the 3rd round. Better prospect than Mason Rudolph.

If you were trying to raise hype, and get people on your side, you probably shouldn't have suggested that you believe that the guy you're pushing could be the next Kordell Stewart. One of the most hated QB's in Steelers history.

Kordell isn’t one of the most hated Steelers QBs

I liked him a lot, he just played in the wrong era. He would have excelled today.

I don’t know much about Hurts, it will be interesting to see if the Steelers are just giving lip service about being content with their current crop of QB’s.

I had a lot of hate for Kordell Stewart. Especially when he threw 3 interceptions in the AFC championship game against the Broncos. In the AFC championship game against the Cheats, he promptly threw 3 more. There is some truth though that he was a square peg that the Steelers tried to shove into a round hole.

Kordell was electric with the ball in his hands. His biggest problem came from 3 offensive coordinators in 3 years that tried making him into a pocket passer instead of utilizing his talents. At least some of the blame for that should fall squarely on Cowher’s shoulders.

Hurts lost his starting job at Bama because he struggled passing the ball, not interested in him at all, he's a better runner than passer.

Correct. He is basically Jamarcus Russell with wheels.

I'd rather the kid from Hawaii that can do both. I'd take a late shot on him. Hurts not so much.

He threw the ball for 3851 yards with only 8 ints for 32 TDs, he had 1298 rushing yards for 20 TDs in 2019, what more can a college QB do for his team?

    This right here.

However and, that said, with due respect to mac, Jeff Gladney from TCU is not some average joe Corner. One of the most physically gifted corners in the draft. Heck, if we are talking about from a pure athletic perspective, sans Isaiah Simmons, he is arguably the most athletic Defensive Back in the draft.

It would not shock me if Gladney hits the high 4.2s or low 4.3s. Dude is a speedster.

That doesn't mean the Steelers should draft him in the second round.
