The Steelers answered one of their biggest offseason questions today when Vice President and General Manager Kevin Colbert signed a one-year contract extension.

Colbert's extension keeps him with the team through at least the 2021 NFL Draft.

He drafted the super-inflatable-wavy arm man TE last year in Gentry so he does have the power. I was not enamored with the choice.

He will have to be forced to retire. He will continue to sign as many year to year contracts as they offer. Could be next year, 2 years or even 5. Steelers can be pretty stubborn when it comes to change.

I don't think Colbert is a huge problem though.

He will need 2 more years after this to get to Medicare.

I'm good with Colbert. He's not perfect but no one is. He's the only person above player level in the org I don't have issues with.

I give KC slack sometimes for draft picks now and again, but really, I think he has done a good job assembling a team. There's a couple head scratchers on the 53 from year to year but that goes with every team if you really study them all.

Yes we do, I may have misstated my thoughts like he may not have the means to
finance his health care until he reaches 65

Yeah the funny thing is they are saying TE down WR up and I see just the opposite, of course I don't get paid to do all that stuff. lol
