That's because they're in love with the Bosas now!

Most NFL awards go to players on winning teams, unless there is some huge stat, like 20 sacks. You can debate the fairness of this, because TJ Watt had a great season. I look forward to seeing TJ Watt improve his game even more.

Chandler Jones and Shaq Barrett both had 19 sacks last season, they couldn't win it, they don't want to give the award to a player on a nonwinning team.

    Hey steelersrule6.

How about this for a reason. He is a Steeler. Those on these type of committees, gave us the well-deserved but way, way overdue HOF honors for Donnie "The Torpedo" Shell; along with Coach Cowher and Troy into the HOF. For that, giving TJ that honor would have been too much for them to digest for one year.

You know we are the envy of the league regardless of our record this year or any year for that matter. The Steelers are always a marquee match-up for whoever we play; regardless of the kind of season we are having. Just look at how many Prime-Time games we get each year. Look at our global following. I am serous my friend. Remember, we are talking about people who make these decisions and with that comes along subjectivity, jealousy and other irrational thought processes. I may be a little bias here and I get what you are saying. And by no means am I dismissing it. Just another way to possibly look at the "snub" IMO.

I know I see things the black and gold way but holy cow TJ not only didn’t win he came in 3rd.......WTF????? I am sorry I know my opinion is bias but TJ did so much, int’s,sacks, pressures, TFL, FF and tackles. So Gilmore has 6 int’s wow oh and he shut down his side of the field.....ok. Let me ask this then why wasn’t there a DB to win it in the last 10 years? There wasn’t shut down corners I mean if I remember right one off the top of my head......Peters was pretty good a few years ago and he scored td’s on his int’s. I would have to look up the numbers but I read on NFL.com that Gilmore was like 3rd in completion percentage or something like that......not even first. However he had 6 int’s and the Cheats weren’t in the SB so they had to give them something. Total robbery.

I think TJ is the most well rounded edge defender out there. Can pressure, can stop the run, can defend the pass, rarely gets hurt
