It’s nice to get his praise, but .... I seem to recall Brady crushing the Steelers every time he played them, so not sure if #43 was ever a factor when they played.

Ed Reed wasn't better, he played a different position. Troy had double the amount of sacks and over 100 more tackles, and more forced fumbles. The difference is in the position, Ed Reed was a FS so saying Ed was better as he had more INTs isn't really fair. Troy played SS, so the 100+ more tackles, tackles for loss, forced fumbles and double the sacks isn't really fair to Ed Reed since he didn't play near the LOS very much.

Ed Reed was great, there is no doubt but saying better than Troy isn't accurate. All the INTs is one thing but look at the other stats and even that isn't telling the story. I know everyone compares Troy to Reed and vice versa but comparisons are hard to make as their positions were completely different. As I said previously, Ed had the INTs but everything else was Troy and that has to do with the fact Reed played center field while Troy was playing near the LOS a lot more.

Agreed. Sometimes you can’t pick one or the other when both are so great. And I am confident the Steelers would have drafted Reed had Baltimore not moved ahead. In turn, the following year the Steelers weren’t taking any chances of being passed up again and moved up to take Troy.

This has to mean Troy is a lock for the HOF.

I would be shocked if Troy's name isn't announced tomorrow. I felt bad for Alan Faneca after hearing him on the radio this morning. He said the last 4 years he and has family have waited for the phone call or the knock on the door to tell him he got into the HOF but it never came. He said once more he and his family will be gathered around waiting tomorrow.
I sure hope he gets in. What a Steeler ceremony it will be in Canton if he can join Troy, Donnie and Cowher there this summer.

Troy ran circles around Ed Reed. So did R. Lott.
