The average ticket has gone from 62.38 in 2006 to 102.35 in 2019 (bottom barrell top deck nose bleeders) My job had one raise in the last 15 years. It was a 2% coupled raise with a 4% increase in employee contribution towards benefits etc... A hit, Not even a wash. Cost of living perpetually increases, minimum wage increases, product price increases but majority of us do not even experience a COLA raise! It is cheaper to turn your room into a damn theatre than it is to take a family of 5 across the country for a week and a game day experience. I know as I've done both... Theatre meaning big screen and sound of course.

Ever increasing ticket prices are a big reason why period. Really doesn't matter so long as corps are buying sections and tv deals are renewed/people still buy at a reduced number or not. Product souring and quality of product is gonna tank attendance as well. So will weather conditions, game times, asshat players and political stunts.

We've gotten lucky on a couple of our ventures finding decent priced tickets but honestly even the decent prices get asinine.

Hell the prices Of everything throughout our lives are asinine... I yield

I tend to support people who try to be the best instead of supporting people who are simply not the worst. But hey, if it works for you, have a blast!

So you don't think Art II is trying to compete for a Super Bowl ? They gave Ben 65 million, traded a first round pick for Minkah, and traded up for Bush.

Ok so now what? Drive everyone nuts with the constant Tomlin criticism or is it better to go with the failing franchise angle?

I guess Either could work. They somewhat go hand in hand. The franchise is failing because of guys like TOMLIN who’s course has clearly run yet they refuse to make a change. Meanwhile offensive gurus are making runs to Super Bowls while we have TOMLIN who is a genius at chest pumping.

Art Rooney Il really hasn’t had to work for anything. He was born with a silver spoon and all he cares about is being invited to the right parties. There’s no thinking outside the box. In fact there is no thinking at all. Art was a mediocre student and now is a satisfied owner as long as gravy train keeps chugging along. He’s son of privilege and as long as he demonstrates right politics and donates to the right people, the reputation will be insulated and gravy train will keep on going.

As much as I despise TOMLIN I’m starting to think the real problem is this version of the Rooneys.

Dobber have you looked at toy prices lately? Crazy inflation. I bought a really issue of a generation 1 transformer that I payed 25 dollars for in 85 and now has brought charged almost 80 bucks for. Last Christmas I was going to by the reissue of the Imperial Tie Fighter that Kenner/Hasbro released and something that was under 30 dollars originally in the 80's was again 80 dollars. I need OT to buy my kids toys these days.

Do you think Art senior fielded competitive teams? No knock on The Chief, he was intregal in the success the NFL enjoys today but not too successful in the win/loss department until Dan took the reins.

Every stuff imaginable... Toys man!i had many originals and no idea what they'd be worth! Pisses me off everytime I think of it. But the toys got me through some tough home life for sure.

That’s only about a 3.4% annualized gain. You would have done better with a mid cap stock. ;)

Leave it alone dude. You seem to try really hard to miss the point or to just divert the point so you can argue.

Just because you can't understand things doesn't mean they are dumb.

I wish I could edit this picture to have Rooney standing in the middle saying "I'd like to know who called this a three ring circus, and no, I am not concerned about attendance"

I think you are on the same page with most people. Few here are happy with 8/8. Some of us just post our thoughts once and move on. Some post their thoughts 163 times. Still pretty much the same thoughts either way. I just have a difficult time, I guess, at what is gained by making the same post over and over and over and over......

I think you've said that 163 times:smiley1: I guess it's just that we are all different. You like to say what you want one time and be done with it. Some people want to go point-counter-point. Thank God there is no penalty for doing it different:cool:

Little Mikey owes him a nice meal or something for his consistent defense. Best part, or worst maybe, is we can do this all over again this time next year!

Argue over what a joke TOMLIN has become while real teams play in the SB

Actually there are penalties for doing it different but you have to be a member of the 10k post club and the penalties go against the bonus reward program where we get Amway products below cost. That's why many of us old timers are reply savey. We want that swag.
