That's an outrageous accusation. Ben was never a member of Cold Play.

People like you is why it's better to let the guilty go free than to destroy the innocent.

And many others. The Steelers will gladly bring on a troubled player if he will help them win. They've shown that.

The same can be said about Rudolph. I heard Rudolph dropped an N bomb too. Does that make it true? Does it justify anything? It's a ****ing word, give me a break.

In the past, yes. Doubtful they will anytime soon. Guarantee you they won’t touch he Hunt.

There's a big difference between a guy who has locker room issues and a guy who had an off the field issue. One is a cancer to a team, the other isn't. Not saying sign him, but a past off field issue doesn't hurt the team (unless it's so egregious that other players take issue with it).

We'll see more players signed in the future that have had off field issues. I'd put money on it

Yep, completely different issue to AB. I would take Hunt no problem. He is a good teammate by all accounts

What he did was inexcusable, but there are many players that have done much worse and are still on teams around the league. Hunt being caught on camera was his issue. I’d be surprised if he hadn’t learned his lesson.

AB had both off field issues and locker room issues.

And assault on a woman is a pretty big hot button topic for the NFL. Steelers won’t touch a player like that.

Looks to me like they are trying to field a team of high character players, it’s been showing up in the draft for the last few years.

Agree, I think that will be an ongoing trend for this team.

Oooppss.. Kareem Hunt cited for traffic violation last week and police found some sticky icky in his car. He told police he wanted his own super bowl.

    This.

This is not including the unfair firestorm that now surrounds Mason Rudolph. Whether he said it or not is irrelevant as there is now a bullseye on his back. Adding a malcontent in Kareem Hunt is the LAST thing that needs to happen.

    Hey Brice.

I may be in the minority here and have heard some small rumbling rumors of Bell being released from the Jets and possibly coming back to Pittsburgh. Personally, I would do it in a heartbeat. Give him an incentive-loaded one-year deal. With both performance and behavior stipulations. I know some folks here think he is a complete jerk. I would say a partial one at worst. That in part, is why I would consider bringing him back if the opportunity arose. Other reasons why include:
    • He took a whole year off with us. So no mileage there.
    • Did not put a lot of mileage on in New York.
    • He knows our system.
    • Was a great outlet for Ben and had great chemistry with him.
    • Had great chemistry with our O-Line.
    • Teams had to special plan for him, unlike Conner or any of our current RBs.
    • He is a legitimate dual threat at RB/WR. Good for up to 80 receptions a year. Most WRs would be ecstatic about those statistics.
    Hey, just my opinion.

Here is a name that I would like to see added. Jordan howard. Philly only played him part time last year. The guy runs hard. Maybe looking for a more full time gig. I don't think he would break the bank.

I know how you feel about Vick but this post is a crock of :bscow:. Steelers have troubled players but name one that they brought on that was having troubles. Rooneys didn't get to where they are with asinine decisions like your painting.

Ha Ha this thread is funny. They franchise Alvin and the only players you will see are scrap heap.

As far as Hunt is concerned yes he is a talent. But has a major checkered past in which we still see one that isn't here anymore acting the fool. Not going to happen.

That was The Verve, not Coldplay!

I mean, one dirge is much the same as the other, but...

EDIT: in being a smartass I then found Coldplay did a cover of it, so I retract my British righteousness

Love the name but my concern is he is a two down player and I would like to stay away from that.
