Vrabel is just starting his HC career while MT has been a HC for over a decade. Vrabel will easily surpass the Jumbotron gazer in due time.

Kinda looks like the exact pic we took when the Steelers had all those pro bowlers a couple years back and ended up getting bounced in there first playoff game

I wouldn't go THAT far. Are they probably in the same book club? Sure.

So how's that working out for Tomlin? I guarantee you that Tomlin isn't held in the same regard as Cowher. Stats can be thrown about ad nauseam, but Tomlin isn't a HOF coach yet, if ever.

You're full of crap. You brought up Lombardi as a failed comparison to Vrable. Vrable can win the SB this year and he will have accomplished as much as Tomlin has. You don't have to like the truth. I won't ask you to. But the ONLY thing Tomlin has over Vrable is a SB victory. The rest of his career has been a failed social experiment. <snip>

To start, when did I ever say he was?!?! For two, two things can be true; winning the division is important and Tomlin has won it more than Harbaugh thus far. Most importantly, for three, comparing Cowher to Tomlin should not be discussed anyways as there are different circumstances in play.

You said that the primary objective is to win the division. I don't think that is ever the primary objective, but if so, Tomlin hasn't faired well. I added an opinion about Tomlin not being on Cowher's level regardless of stats that are bantered about.

And the only reason I see to not compare 2 Steeler coaches is to spare the Tomlin-lovers a reality check and spare those unhappy with him enduring meaningless stats.

Interesting comment here. May I ask this question to you then? What is the most efficient path to the playoffs?!?!

Their records are very similar. The fact that Cowher got in opens the door for Tomlin.

Maybe his record against sub .500 teams will carry some weight with the voters but otherwise, good chance he gets in. I don’t recall Cowhers stats against such teams.

I’ll say this though, you say he isn’t held in the same regard as Cowher and I bet it’s the opposite. Tomlin is thought much more highly of outside of Pittsburgh.

Wasn't too shabby in left field either. Had a ton of respect for him as a person and playing two sports (unlike the showboating Neon Deon).

IMO, he would have broke so many records and he was the real deal in both sports.

Medical staff failed him badly. They didn’t know the severity of his injury and he kept playing on it.

What a waste. Could have been the best ever.
