Huh? you prefer garbage in garbage out? Take a look at who is successful in the NFL, it's not the franchises that change head coaches every time it rains.

Actually it is. Chuck Noll forget how to coach in the 80s? Start putting his team behind the 8 ball? Some here should use the space between their ears. Tomlin isn't the reason we aren't winning SBs.

Yeah but when it’s been raining for 10 years it’s wise to at least consider a umbrella at some poin, right? Nope some guys will either pretend it’s not raining or that they don’t care enough that they’re getting wet. The sun will come out tomorrow. People keep bringing up other teams and how they fire coaches so often. That doesn’t apply here when your HC has been here 12+ years. How is that a knee jerk reaction? I keep asking the question how many more years does he get. Then you get the talent and players being solely responsible excuse. Why fire any coach then when talent or lack there of is the deciding factor? Again not advocating his firing but coordinators gotta go because he relies on them so much and why is it so hard for the loyalists to simply admit he has to share blame when the team doesn’t win?

Tomlin just admitted they can be doing a better job of putting his players in better schematic positions. Was he lying ,trying to make his guys feel better. Of course you need talent but there is also squeezing the most talent out of what you have. He admitted that schematically they haven’t been doing enough of that. So if it’s all on the players themselves it shouldn’t matter who the HC is. Just keep HCs for life until they’re ready to step down.

Too bad we don't have them leaders around anymore. Ben, who isn't the most inspirational leader needs someone to take over that responsibility before we are great again.

The Buccaneers wrote the book on "rebuilding dynasties" & how to stay significant in the draft.

Now you're contradicting yourself. Maybe they should hire Freddie Kitchens because you're essentially saying the head coach doesn't matter.

Keeping head coaches for life is what this organization does best. They think it somehow makes them noble instead of cowardly not wanting to get their hands dirty.

You bring up the most valid point to get rid of Tomlin. "Lack of talent"

The 1st round projects are not panning out. He is highly responsible for this.
    Better talent = Better results

I can’t put the talent issue solely on MT when he and Colbert are lock step in the drafting. I’ve read any disagreements and Colbert gets the final say. So I don’t know how much you can blame him for it. He needs better coordinators. I’m pretty sure hiring and firing is in his job description. To me if your coordinators aren’t guys who are going to have a coordinator position outside of Pittsburgh, it’s time to find better coordinators. I know they’re not gonna make Ben uncomfortable but what about our future after Ben and our young QBs currently here. I would give Ben a list of available experienced OCs and tell him to pick one because your buddy is going back to the position he might actually be qualified for....QB coach. We can use one of those.

One thing is for certain our next HC won’t be stepping into the same fortunate situation MT did....only Barry Switzer had it better.

Tomlin sheilds those that have to answer to him. Who has he thrown under the bus? Name one guy.

Mikey is no football guru. He does his best with what he is capable of. Even gets lucky sometimes & goes beyond that. However, it will take someone with great knowledge of being significant to replace him.

I don’t think it was shielding anyone. He was simply admitting what most of us already knew. That RF wasn’t consistently putting his players in a position to succeed schematically. Nothing more ,nothing less.

Lol...Kitchens wasn't the problem in Cleveland. He was the scapegoat of the year for them this year. Old Belicheat won how many SBs in Cleveland? He didn't matter there with the players they had. Or it could before he perfected cheating, idk.

Well I have to disagree with this. My eyeball test says that our draft picks are Tomlin toys, Colbert may limit him to what position & where he can take them. My eyeballs also tell me that the coordinator positions are a Rooney decision at the moment. Ben probably let the team know what he would resign for. Butler was promised something. Bubbleyum has some videos of Art senior doing something taboo.

Why are teams putting 30 pts. a game on SF? Can't be the players. Oh sorry, that excuse only works in Pittsburgh.

You convinced me. Tomlin is the whole entire reason we suck. Have a good new year. I hope you can find a way to enjoy it. Pick a coach you like and cheer for that team.

Tomlin has had three 8-8 seasons and five total seasons where he didn’t win at least 10 games.
There’s quite a few things that I don’t like about Tomlin. But he does have a pretty darn impressive record.

Only the cheating coach lead consistently better teams. Now that they were caught cheating another time and Brady is falling off what's next for the Pats?

Look you yourself said the Steelers are the best franchise in your eyes. Shouldn't the best franchise be lead by someone who at least doesn't lose to basement dweller teams? Who knows when to call timeouts? You know basic stuff.
