    We ripped Miami off
They should have asked for at least 2 first rounders.

Won't even admit he is wrong. Unreal as one can get. As I said, indirect jealousy as I thought:

Translation: Minkah has been good but I am too proud to admit it!

I make a motion that this thread be retired. The question has been clearly answered and isn't even debatable at this point.

I measure Minkah's value to the Steelers by contemplating where they'd be without him right now.
    I'm thinking 1-8, maybe 2-7.

Amazing spot on analysis. It's like this video was made yesterday and done with hindsight, but it was 2 years ago.
Also I love that the Browns blew another one. :lolol:

As did I. Ohio State corners are hit or miss often. Denzel Ward is having a very bad season.

It's official, the Miami Dolphins will get the 18th pick im the draft from us in the Fitzpatrick deal.

He was taken 11th in the 2018 draft.

It was a risky move but paid off nicely for Colbert. Fitzpatrick completely stabilized our backend and our secondary, minus Edmunds, is now a strength.

    Great trade!

I wish the Steelers would've gotten Miami TE Gesicki in that Minkah trade also :hehehe:.

Totally worth it. Now we have a playmaker at all 3 levels of the D. Watt - Bush - Fitzpatrick.

Given how difficult it is to even move into Top 15 territory, this was more than a great trade. Miami got fleeced big time. Pittsburgh has FINALLY caught up with the modern paradigm of the NFL by acquiring a player BUILT to combat the main weakness of every great NFL Defense of this era.

Kevin Colbert, you are RIDICULOUS!! :steelflag:

Only a qb is worth that much based on impact. Minkah is great but he can only do but so much because of the position.

The Steelers would have gotten an 18th pick, he is well worth an 18th.

Yeah as much as I would love to pick in the top 20 for a change this was worth it. Also we get to move up in round 4 as well right?

The Miami Dolphins safety was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, along with a 2020 fourth-round pick and a 2021 seventh-round pick, in exchange for a first- and fifth-round pick in 2020 and 2021 sixth-round pick,

If it were two First Round picks Pittsburgh conceded to Miami then I would agree as that is too much for a Free Safety; arguably the game's best one no less.

However, to trade one First Round pick for arguably the games best Free Safety?!?! One that is still on a Rookie Contract?!?! Nevermind taking that deal..

    Interesting...

New Orlenas swapped picks with Green Bay in addition to their 2019 First Round pick to select Marcus Davenport. For reference, Pittsburgh only exchanged one for Minkah Fitzpatrick. Here in lies the most intriguing aspect of all of this.

Marcus Davenport was the 14th overall selection of the 2018 Draft. Minkah Fitzpatrick was the 11th overall selection. As stated before, one has to move the literal forms of Heaven and Earth to even think about vaulting into top 15 territory. For reference, Pittsburgh had to give away their first, second and 2020 third to acquire Devin Bush.

    To sum this up;

Green Bay won their trade with New Orleans thus far with the Saints acquisition of Marcus Davenport. Time will tell if Rashan Gary can put it all together to complete that winning condition for Green Bay.

Pittsburgh FLEECED Miami for a future All Pro talent. All it took was a First, a fourth and a 2021 seventh. In return, Minkah has been, once again, arguably the best Free Safety in the NFL.
