Right? The old duck and chuck. 3rd in offense, threw 30 picks, 6 of which were pick-sixes.

We need an offensive mind to reign Ben in.

You’re not gonna teach that old dog new tricks. My biggest fear is we keep things status quo Ben can’t make it all the way back and we’re stuck another year with a OC who couldn’t coach his way out of a paper bag and yet another lost season. If Ben doesn’t come back...it’s lay down for Lawrence time...lol

And these guys would have won a SB with the Duck and they are not currently head coaches?

Arians likes to chuck it. Jamais is a 7 year project. Hope he doesn't get Fitzmagic, I want him in Black n Gold to frighten Ben.

Okay clueless all that supposed talent was on offense, which is why they couldn't stop the Jaguars .

Fitchner is not helping Ben or the team. The Rooneys should be upset with the way they have carried themselves this year.
I was thinking along the lines of if Popcorn was not here next year, what would be best for the Steelers in the near future. We have a solid defense (sometimes) that could hold their own without a defensive head coach imo. Our offense would benefit from a new system that an offensive head coach could bring with him. Where are you Chuck Noll of the 2020s?

They probably wouldn't win a SB but I'd give them better odds than Tomlin.

The offense coordinated by old Fitch in 2018 finished 6th in scoring and 1st in red zone efficiency.
Considering that the offense was responsible successful in 2018 with compete QB play what does that mean? He also used Conner effectively enough (when Conner was healthy) to make people say Bell who?

Id say old Fitch can coach. The Steelers didn't have consistently competent QB play, a young Wr core, and lacked of a consistent threat in the run game. I don't think any OCs have success under those circumstances. The play of the QB hurt this team more than any other factor this season.

I was glad to hear the Sunday sports show wasn't giving Tomlin or Finchtner a pass saying at the very least Randy shouldn't be on this staff anymore. This is where I miss Cowher. That guy had no problem cleaning house. Tomlin you can tell doesn't have the balls to do that and doesn't want to rock the boat. Same with Art, consistently mediocre is still better than the unknown of taking a chance...how boring. Meanwhile the Packers with a first year coach are the second seed in NFC.

Then explain last year when they did have those things. Same result. Tomlin and company are the definition of insanity.

They did not have the same results. You want an explanation on why this game didn't win one or two more games?

Here you go. 1) Ben lead the in turnovers. 2) The kicker didn't play well enough and as a result the team loss games they could had won. Two important factors in why the team failed to make the playoffs.

Turnovers derailed this season. They did what they could to over come injuries this year. They remained competitive and relevant until the final game of the season.

Idk, they are getting better. More detailed than just "Tomlin sucks" or "fire Mikey". Our first loss after he is gone will be followed by threads that this never happened to Popcorn, get rid of the new bum.

Tomlin needs to hire a new OC, DC and special team coach.

Nope Tomlin did not embarrass us but our run defense did and so did Jordan Berry.

They have a good reason to be upset the last few games. Wasn't Mike's best unleashing hell finish. He could improve on that part of his legacy.

That is the saddest part of all. We have never been further from winning a SB in the Ben era than right now

Well ok, who is ultimately responsible for all the issues you mention? What is the job of our HC? Who does the OC work for?

Not to mention the OL underperformed most of the season.
