That game was a nation wide study hall favorite, for sure. I wish I still had mine, just for nostalgia.

Didn't read the whole thread, but the Steelers just weren't a playoff quality team this year. Just not good enough, especially at the offensive skill positions.

They outperformed the talent for awhile due to defensive and special teams TD's, but that's just not sustainable. At some point those points dry up and once they did we were toast.

I know there is a lot of hate on Hodges now but the kid was supposed to be nothing more than a 4th string camp arm. Because of unusual circumstances he ended up starting 6 games and going 3-3 in the process. I give him credit for going out there and battling despite limited abilities.

First he claimed he was going to boycott the NFL altogether, then it was just games that the Steelers weren't in, now it's...…..what? All games until Dobbs plays?

Not many coaches can get what Tomlin got out of that team. Remember Suck Hodges was our quarterback for a little while. Also Mason Rudolph who is not much of an upgrade if at all. With all the injuries and great players that left I’d say Tomlin did a great job.

That said I have issues with Tomlin and the way he coaches but I think he did a great job this year I got to give it to him. I think he’s in the top three for coach of the year.

You pretty unimaginative, maybe Tomlin, Colbert and Rooney are in on the 'fix'.

Hodges ended the season 43-80 with 1 TD 6 INTs and a lost fumble.

You could have the entire 82nd Airborne blocking for that guy. He is absolute garbage.

Jones was crap but his QB rating was higher than either Hodges or Rudolph. And that says more about how bad those guys are, not much about Jones.

I don't have to hate Hodges to know he's not an NFL QB. I don't hate Hodges, I don't hate my son, but neither are NFL QBs. I can think you stink, without hating you. If in fact you really do stink.

It’s a shame Defense gave up 223 yards rushing.

I’m going to say it...you put Kaepernick on this team they most likely are in the playoffs with the defense to possibly make a run.

The run defense seemed to have checked out, especially in the 2nd half.

Not with the current receivers. I don't believe so.

I keep switching between thinking with a better QB we’d be in, and with a better QB we’d be in the same place.

In the last three games I think QB was the difference. Earlier in the season it was about fumbles and WR drops on perfectly catchable passes.

It’s not the ending the season deserved, after the adversity the team has faced.

No idea if Kaepernick would have been successful, but I saw, multiple times, open receivers, over the course of the season. I’m not as down on them as some people.

When has he had to throw the ball multiple times? My point is that if he can win a game when he has to throw, then I'll buy into the hype. Until then, he's just another running QB that caught lightning in a bottle.
