I remember a couple of years ago the 9-7 Titans were heavy underdogs to the Chiefs at Arrowhead but they embarrassed the Chiefs in that game. Andy Reid is a choke artist.

Not that teams would be afraid to play the Steelers in the playoffs, but I don't think offenses would look forward to playing our defense.

All of them outside of Fuller.

Although if KC wins earlier in the day I can see Watson playing the whole game. Hope I'm wrong.

Mason is done for the season. His shoulder is hurt enough that even if they qualify for the playoffs he won't be ready. So they are rolling with Duck and Lynch unless Lynch can show he deserves the ball over Duck. Lots of chatter about Kap but that is just smoke and mirrors. No word on Pouncey yet and JC is having an MRI but it doesn't sound good when he says he knew right away something was wrong.

    FWIW....

“It’s my right quad,” Conner said on Monday. “It’s just a bruise. Nothing was torn in my leg or nothing like that. So, should be all right and hopefully it gets better soon.”

The game to scoreboard watch is IND/JAX. A three way tie with colts, titans, Steelers. Steelers are in. Steelers could loose and still make it. Crrrrrrrazy.

Yeah they don’t want to have to play Tenn again or let them in the playoffs. Just like the Rats they want us in the playoffs knowing if they have to play us they only need to score 11 points to move on. Rats aren’t stupid sitting all the starters on offense still means they have a good chance to beat us with our powerhouse offense. And if they lose no biggie they have all their players rested and ready for us in 2 weeks if we were to win. We scare nobody on offense and if I were a fan of any other playoff team I would rather play us than anyone else. Score 11 points and you beat the Steelers. Jmo

At the end of the day it really doesn't matter. Even if we make the playoffs, our Offense would be an embarassment out there. Our season ultimately ended when Ben got injured whether we want to admit that or not. BTW-Ben's replacement is still not on this team.

Not true if both titans and pitt tie at 8-8 the titans hold the tiebreaker...

Pittsburgh Steelers are currently in the seventh seed in the AFC playoff picture as they are tied with the Tennessee Titans in record but no longer hold the tiebreaker of a better conference record. With the record against common opponents (Browns, Colts, Bills, and Chargers) also being the same at 3-2, the Steelers would come up short in the “strength of victory” department.

Well I can remember the Steelers in 2004 rested a bunch of guys in the season finale in Buffalo. Rookie Ben rested. Tommy Maddox started and a new guy named Willie Parker saw his 1st game action. Steelers beat the Bills who had to win the game to make the post season.

Steelers still beat them but bad part was the rest. Steelers came out rusty 3 weeks later and almost lost to the Jets, luckily the Jets kicker was awful that day or Steelers would of lost in the divisonal round, they then got trounced by the Pats the following week. Following a 15-1 regular season.

I don't think it's the world's best move to give guys 3 weeks rest. If I was Harbaugh I play Jackson (and others) maybe 1.5 quarters and remove guys.

But, I get it if Jackson were to get hurt, the city of Baltimore would want to kill Harbaugh. I think it has a lot to do with it being us. No team leaves a Steelers and Ravens matchup healthy, they are usually very hard fought and the most physical games.

But don't under estimate RG3 he has talents, I have seen him do good and bad. It's not like he won't want to go out and try to win.

It’s one of those lose-lose situations for Head Coaches. Whatever they do, they’ll be second guessed by fans and the media.
