I agree. Losing Rudolph when he was moving the football was big.

It was never pretty mind - like PWP says, we needed more screens and quick slants, rather than dump offs for 1 yard.

I know the usual crowd will be “fire Tomlin”, but I can’t see that this game showed anything new. We had unfortunate injuries, we had ****ty snaps, we had untimely interceptions and we struggled for rhythm, as a consequence of back ups playing, bad play calls and individual mistakes. Pretty much the story of the season.

Well they didn't throw it 38 times like last week. This week they only threw 37 passes.

I agree, I'm not criticizing the defense. I'm just saying if they don't play out of their minds we can't win. Playing pretty darn good isn't enough to win because of our non-existent offense.

Easy to second guess, but I think Rudolph should have started this game. Duck was exposed last week and I think he has way more confidence in his arm strength than he should. He also seems to throw too late, rather than anticipating. Having said that, it's not that I think Rudolph showed way better than Hodges, but I think he has more pedigree. He made some nice throws today.

The offense is only capable of scoring 1 TD a game, you aren't going to beat the good teams playing that way .

B A got fired because his offense was getting Ben killed, B A has his own problems in Tampa, his QB leads the league with 28 ints .

Rudolph getting hurt lost the game. Duck was spent. We'll probably see Lynch next week vs. Ravens. Reindeer probably has the Romo injury... broken collar bone.

The last 6 seasons they haven't a defense nowhere near as good as the current one.

Friggin Edmunds. It's an unwritten rule that any VA Tech player not named Bruce Smith will be a bust.

They've had some good DBs. The Fullers and Clark. Tomlins bias to VA players is annoying though.

His terrible ball skills are well documented. On the TD catch they had Minkah underneath and TE tasked with defending the deep ball. They need to minimize or eliminate that from happening whenever they can. They keep trusting TE and he isn’t coming through on those type responsibilities. Immediately after the season they need to start with him learning the SS/LB role. You can’t teach instinct back there.

I have always wondered about the practice to game transition. There is little evidence many weeks that they practice much at all. And I would say this has been true for years, as much of Ben's success happened when the originally called play broke down and he improvised. The offense often just looks like a scramble play, or if it is the play that was called it doesn't work (running a back into a 9 man front). Never much of a clear identity.

Or bad ones apparently - the Jets aren't a good team.

Let's not forget the stars (according to many) are Juju and Conner, who both fumbled away wins in September. That had nothing to do with the QBs or the injuries.

I don't think it's a coincidence the offense regressed once Conner came back the last few weeks.
