Anyone notice JuJu laughing it up on the sideline on 4th and 7?

That’s the real issue at hand. It’s not about JuJu laughing or dancing or delivering toys. It’s that this bum has been a complete bust all year and now he’s not even toughing it out for his team.

I was laughing at the offense too. Or was I crying? Maybe alittle both. You gotta drink to watch this offense these days.

4th and 7 is ok to laugh at, but if it was 4th and 11 I would've released him on the spot.

He’s injured and that makes him a bust? Or is it that he had a couple of JV players throwing him the ball?

Or is it that he can’t get separation because he is not a number 1. Or even close for that matter

    Hey steel machine.

Yes, as a humble teacher, with some athletic talent, man would I love to be a professional athlete. And not just any old athlete but one that plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers (or Pirates or Penguins). Could you imagine.... Just WOW! You would be in the top 1% of people on this planet to accomplish that feat. I am sure that most of these players, like with any employees at any job, bust their tails each and everyday to build on and improve their craft. I know I do as a teacher who takes a whole lot of pride in his work.

As far as to the commitment to the city they play for, I will not hold that against anyone as long a they do their job. Well, let me retrace on that one a bit. If you play for Pittsburgh for instance, I would expect some community engagement to a degree. It just goes with the territory. I know that I did a lot of community-based work where I taught with no extra compensation or recognition. I did not want it nor expected it. Just because it was the right thing to do IMO, even though that was not my hometown.

I am not bragging or boasting about with what I am going to write next. I taught in one of the most dangerous cities in America. That was by choice. I consider myself to be built for the inner-city... I grew up in it and I love it. In my first year of employment, I won "Teacher of the Year" for the entire school district. Once again, not bragging, just making a point here. Maybe it is the equivalent of DPOY or OPOY Awards in the NFL. Whatever the comparison, I took a lot of pride in my job and did up until the day I retired. I took it as an honor and a privilege to do what I did. Money was never the objective. Actually, for teachers it really isn't anyway (smile).

I love working. Yes, I had good and bad days but hey that goes with any job. My point is, I never took my job for granted and always personally challenged myself to outdo my last performance (lesson plan). I would love to have played pro sports for a living: Steelers, Pirates, Penguins. Shoot, I would be willing to play for Veteran Minimum every season. Seriously! It definitely would be way more than I made during any year of my teaching career. Once again, money was an objective but only to a degree. Hey, I have to eat too (smile).

Ben's rookie year in 2004 he was listed at 245 lbs. I'm guessing now that he goes at least 280 lbs. or more. Mini-camp is 6 months away he is going to have to lose some serious weight in a hurry.

They said he hasn't even tried throwing yet which leads me to believe that it was close to Tommy John surgery than not and his weight gain and beard are saying I'm not worried about mini camp maybe by camp I'm throwing. We'll see.

Remember when Ben got skinnier there for a minute...I believe it was coming into last years camp..Looked alot lighter, and said all the right things " Getting older, eating cleaner, more cardio...cut out this and that "..... That didn't last long

Yeah let me tell you when that youthful metabolism slows down it happens fast. I got 10 years or so on Ben and I seem to be expanding in the wrong direction

It’s called angling for that extension.... now it looks like he put on a extension. He claims he’s growing a beard until he can throw. If you ask me he’s growing it to hide how fat his face really is. I’ve soured on Ben recently but I’m rooting for him to come back strong. I’m not too concerned about the weight I’m pretty sure he can take it off and he knows his body by now and how to go about it. The biggest problem I have is I don’t think either of these QBs are going to provide any incentive for him. It’s nice to have competition to help focus on your goals...

On another note...They stated his surgery wasn't Tommy John surgery...And even though it was an elbow surgery, It was a more minor one...

Then wth is he still wearing that contraption/apparatus...On his elbow

I heard the reports there was no TJ awhile back. I’m not sure any elbow surgery for a QB is a minor one. Maybe for someone who doesn’t require a completely healthy elbow for his profession. I remember reading that they had to move a ligament or a tendon (not a doctor) to alleviate the injury. I’m sure the contraption was to make sure there was no movement to ensure whatever they did had a chance to heal.
