Everyone forgets that Mason had some decent games with NO help from anyone on offense... No run game, receivers dropped passes constantly... They were on track to win against the Ravens and he never really recovered from the knock out... Give him another chance... The kids a competitor and the benching probably was a wake up call... James Washington has made duck look alot better than he is...

I don’t understand the concept of empty backfield in situations that are not obviously passing situations. You have to keep the defense honest.

Tomlin in his press conference today said Duck will start against Jets and situation will be same as Mason in Cincinnati.

I agree. Neither guy is the long term answer and I do think Ben is done. I would take a CJ Beathard over either guy, at least he throws a nice ball. The draft has to be used to take at least 2 QB's. That 2nd round pick has to be one and then look for one later. I am scared to death of going back to the long list of average QB's we suffered throughout the 80's and 90's. Ben may not be Brady, but he was very good for a long time.

To be fair Hodges deserves to start and a chance to redeem himself the same as MR. That being said he should get the same half of football to do just that. I don’t think the Jets offer much of a challenge and I expect Hodges to play well enough in the first half to get the nod in the second. I just can’t see it going all that wrong in a half against the Jets.
Then again a terrible game plan and play calling could hurt his chances...

I still like Duck. Mason is not ready. If Duck throws more picks against the Jets than we might see Mason in the second half. But watching Duck after the game in his presser, I liked his attitude. He made some bad throws/decisions but that can be corrected, and that was the best defense he has probably ever played. I want to give him a chance to improve. Ugly picks shld be a learning experience. looking for a decent game from the Duck next week

Disagree...Gregg Williams is, And has been one of the best D Coordinators in the league...And he feasts on young QB's...He will be bringing the heat all game long

Let him bring the heat. I trust Randy to have a plan to counteract Williams blitzes.
OK just kidding I don't trust RF. Seriously though why don't we run more draws and screens to slow down the opposing defenses.

Oh ok....well they’re hot and cold mostly cold. They are excellent against the run but we still need to stay committed to it. Go into the game with the same plan as last week we lose. Like you said GW will be coming after Hodges. OL will have to be on point. Take the under....lol

Need to make more manageable 3rd down chances, these 3rd and 8, 3rd and 10, 3rd and 12, 3rd and 15 are killer for young QB"s.

We can't have zero yards on downs 1 and 2.

When you get into 3rd and long it makes the INT rate go up.

Defense knows you got to pass, so they tee of on the QB, rush the throw.

Or they drop and cover and make you force a throw.

It's why the INT's go up in those situations.

It been a struggle of the Steelers this year.

I want to see Hodges throw no more than 20 passes at the very most and for Conner, Snell and Whyte to combine for at least 35 carries. If we run the ball and don't turn the ball over we will win. The kicking game has to be strong too, meaning no more 22 yard punts from Berry which is the same as a turnover.

Completely agree. We are what we are. Let it be. We just need some consistency. He needs reps. This has nothing to do with next year. We know that, unless Ben gets hurt, either of these guys are playing next year. Do what's best for the the time being; thats DUCK.

I would stick with the duck too.
We either sink or swim with the duck....

    Um.

Probably one of the few that agree with you on here. Ben is history and Duck and Deer are back-ups at best. I too think the Steelers have to find a QB but no guarantee he will be the answer. If we have to wait the time it took from Bradshaw to Ben I'll never see another SB.

You sure....lol. Blown out by the Ravens. Bailed out on a terrible PI call on 4 th and 16 to beat Miami by a FG and lost to the Bengals...

Darnold looks decent to me. They may finally hit on a QB but will most likely sabotage his career.
