Anyone notice JuJu laughing it up on the sideline on 4th and 7?

They’re people outside of the game. Would be funny if a reporter asked him why he was laughing they did Derrick Anderson tho lol

You can never know the context - they could be laughing at something on the field or in the stands.

There is enough other criticism to go around.

Look focused on the game, and maybe show that he is invested in the outcome of the game?

You would not have seen any of the 70s Steelers doing this. Probably not 80s or 90s. It’s unfortunate but today’s kids just are t professionals.

You do realize that players that are actually active do the same thing, right?

The meltdowns of Jim Mora, Mike Singletary and Denny Green are legendary.

The days of players being emotionally invested in games are becoming a thing of the past. JuJu's laughter is far from a concern at this point. How to score over 20 points in a game is.

    Hey TuRnDoWnForWaTT.

I get your concern. Trust me I do. Both as a competitive athlete and coach. We could all speculate all day. Which is completely useless IMO. To say that he is not "emotionally invested" is kind of unfair because none of us know the context of the conversation. Like other folks stated here, we need to be more concerned about winning the game than JuJu's sideline posture at that "one" given moment.

Yes, I am well invested as a fan of my teams and I can see where some folks are upset that he was laughing. Especially given what was/is on the line. However, I think JuJu has proven his commitment to this team and that would be the deciding factor of whether or not I want to negatively criticize him here. I personally believe he is down with the Steelers and their cause. Now if this was going on all game long I may feel different. No concern here from me.

He was probably listening to Fitchner asking permission to call another Wildcat play.

I wasn't really suggesting JuJu is not emotionally invested. Just making a broad statement about today's athlete compared to those of the past. I like JuJu. Like I said there are far bigger concerns on this offense right now than JuJu's laghter.

    Hey Watt.

It is all good my friend. I feel your frustration and combine losing with the site of JuJu chuckling it up on the sideline, just adds fuel to the anger of the loss. IMO, there is never anything good from a loss. I am not one to look for that proverbial "Silver Lining" from a loss. That is me. I am down with Vince Lombardi on that one: “Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing". Take care.

    Hey again TuRnDoWnForWaTT.

Since you brought it up, there are several things that do bother me about today's athlete though. Please feel free to add to the list below. There is plenty of time for these things after or before the season or even during the season but not during the time range of when those players' teams meet.
    • Hanging out with the opponent the night before the game (I do not care that you are friends, ex-college teammates etc.)
    • Swapping jerseys after the game.
    • Yucking it up with the opposition after the game (there goes your chuckling part for you).
