He reminds me of Doug Flutie. Am I wrong?

There are some similarities. Both are undersized and kind of scramble around and make things happen.

I cannot remember much about him, but I thought Flutie had a small canon. He excelled in the CFL (yes lower talent) because of the more wide open format. In todays NFL, in the right scheme he might just have excelled. An you are right, Duck is no Flutie, unless of course he surprises us with a drop kick.

The bills have the curse of Doug Flutie.
Still a sin he was replaced by Rob Johnson in the playoff game against the Titans

After watching Jackson destroy the rams in the first half, duck looks like a bag of smashed azzholes. Rudolph even worse. Steelers are screwed for the next 5 years unless they get serious about getting a real QB to replace Ben.

He had to! He's only 5'9". He had to throw under all the linemen.
All he did was win! He got hosed in Buffalo!

I liked Doug, but I don’t really see any similarities between him and Duck

"Touchdown" Tommy had some brilliant moment!
    Then...….., he wouldn't!

IDK how they can 'get serious' at this point. They have a depleted draft next year and have a lot of holes to fill. They gave a lot of guaranteed money to Ben, locking out any way they could reach out for even a decent back veteran back up.

Sounds like Brister. I was reading his history the other day and the guy actually had some really great games, problem is the bad ones surrounding the great made life really miserable.

I get it. But drafting Rudolph and Dobbs the past 3 years and getting undrafted goobers sure as hell ain't getting serious about finding a replacement for Ben.

His head can't be on the swivel forever. A LB,SS will be waiting. It's just a matter of time
    they will wreck his career.

OK. What does that have to do with finding a replacement for Ben at QB?

It means not all undrafted players are goobers including Duck. Give him some slack.

Tommy Maddox is the comparison.. Hopefully the 2002 version. He may not be the most well-liked Steeler player ever, but 2002 was a pretty fun season. Hopefully the Duck has some similar magic in him. Ultimately, it won't be enough to get us very far in the playoffs, if we make it.. still beats finishing the season in the standings with a top-10 pick (which we don't have anyways).

Drafting Rudolph was being serious about finding the next QB as the Steelers really liked him at the time. Even overall number one picks at QB bust.
