That's one side of the discussion, here is the other.

Tomlin isn't doing it, the defense is doing it.

I hope he gets it just to see the Tomlin witch hunters seething in anger.

I hope he gets it because I don't want the Steelers to finish under .500, ever. I don't want the Steelers to lose a single game ever. I can like the Steelers and root for them, while at the same time not agreeing with the decisions of the coaching staff and/or the management. FREEDOM!

I can only speak locally, Mike Tomlin's legacy will
be not so great. He was handed a Ferrari and couldn't
do nothing with it. Franchise QB all these years and what is his playoff record?

    Hey groutbrook.

You got that right. The man is not HC material. Shoot, he was nothing special with his gigs with TB and Minn.

    Take care.

Reminds me of Dungy without the eye for talent. Football talent not freaks of nature.

Well when you have 9 Hall Of Famers on your team, you should win Super Bowls .

Go look up all the turnovers by that franchise QB in those playoff games. The Steelers would probably have their seventh Super Bowl if the franchise QB doesn't throw 2 interceptions including a pick 6 against Green Bay.

Did he have 9 Hall Of Famers, or did he make 9 Hall Of Farmers?

The Steelers scouts deserve a lot of credit for acquiring some of those players(Bill Nunn)

Hey steelersrule6. Hope your day is going well!

True, True. Unfortunately, and I am guilty of it too from time to time (mainly because of the media) but for me, it is that the HC usually is the one affiliated with the SB victory. And this is unfair. For IMO, it takes the whole organization to make it happen. This includes everyone from the Owners of the team to the Food Vendors in the stands to make the championship come true IMO.

Never said they didn’t. Noll was the one to put them in his system and made great players out of them. That doesn’t automatically happen with just any coach.

You said he was nothing special with TB and Minn, I'm not giving him all the credit for winning a SB with TB, but it's still a accomplishment.

    Hey steelersrule6.

Like I stated to you a bit earlier that is partly on me for not given some credit to Tomlin. I am sure he put in the time and effort towards that championship. The one thing that does bother me about that TB championship is that I believe it was a blowout over Oakland. Given that, I seem to recall one of the TB players stating to Gruden, after the victory, something to the extent that "they knew" just about every play that Oakland was going to run. This was because Gruden was the coach of the Raiders the year before. Shame on the Raiders coaching staff for that if they did not make the necessary changes and preparations for that game.

One thing that I did enjoy from that season, once again if memory serves me well, is that the Steelers went down to TB that year and beat them. I think Warren Sapp had the audacity to run through the Steelers' warm-up drills. In the end (for that game) action spoke louder than words. I think "The Bus" pushed him though as he came trolleying through. Well, we all know what became of Warren. Not the sharpest tool in the shed by far.
