This, like every other fan based forum, is filled with people who love and hate certain aspects of the team the forum is here to talk about.

People love Ben, people hate Ben.

People love Tomlin, people hate Tomlin.

Love is fair enough, hate is a pretty strong word when directed at players and coaches.

I have never hated Tomlin, I have never even wanted him fired....until recently. I have wished for years that "the Steelers" would sit him down and ask him what his plan is to fix the lack of discipline and the lack of perpetration that seem to haunt this team. Now, it's too late, he has to go.

I love how Ben cares about one thing....winning! He is still one of the top 5 or 6 QB's in the league and I am amazed at how people want to see him gone so that we can struggle to find someone of his talent again...even his current talent. I wonder if people are remotely aware of just how hard it is to find an elite QB in this league, let alone one who can play at a high level for 15 years.

Even a qb playing at a high level has to have weapons around him. Just like with all stars of this game, rather time is undefeated. One player cannot carry a team and as that player ages and the injuries mount its even harder. Time to spend some money and draft resources on the offense again. Colbert used to draft for both every other year and we remained balanced. The got away from that recently. Time to start adding those unsexy early picks in again. oLine and dline.

Colbert, tomlin, sherman, butler could go any time as far as I'm concerned.

    No he's not.

For the record, I don't hate Roethlisberger... but no way in hell he is in the top 6 in 2020.

Can you people say with a straight face that Roethlisberger will be better than Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Wilson, Jackson, Mahomes, Wentz, Prescott, Watson in 2020? Please.

Hell... Cam Newton would be an upgrade at this point.

I don't care about those other QBs, all I know is Ben is the best QB for the Steelers .

We'll see. I don't see a 38 year old QB with a lot of rough mileage being able to restore his previous abilities after an elbow injury. If I'm wrong... then great. But chances are slim he will be effective. Father time has caught up with Ben, Philip and Eli.

In 2019? He has less interceptions and less incompletions than any of those guys in 2109!:hehehe:

In 2020? He will be better than Jackson, and probably Wilson, Watson, and Wentz. And at least one other due to injury.....so yes he is! Nanny nanny boo boo!

I’d settle for a QB that can be 10th on the list, behind the names you’ve mentioned.

We need him to make plays and have opposing defences respect the pass game.

Let our defence do the heavy lifting.

Okay, nay-sayer, who do you think could play for the Steelers in 2020 and give them a better chance to win then Ben?

    Remember 2020 is foresight!

I'd settle for a QB that isn't a continuous meme of getting knocked out cold and getting his head dented with a helmet

I will make you a friendly wager. If Ben comes back healthy next year, from his surgery, he will be better than at least 2 of the guys you listed.

Make it 3 to remain consistent with my earlier statement of top 6.

Especially when the over under on the number of games played before he’s injured again is around 1.4

I have to have a good reason to pay close attention so I will make you a similar bet that I made Heinz, he is too chicken to take it. I'll bet Ben comes back healthy and plays well. Not sure how to quantify it because any QB can get hurt in any game but I will let you make a suggestion.

    Remember my beer cellar:smiley1:
