Who has been reliable regardless of the reason for us? Sometimes you have to take chances to get where you’re trying to go.

Just is weird that they would get rid of a guy who has been here and it isn't like he stunk. I mean he wasn't some good runner but he wan't bad either.

For what? He hasn't done anything but ask for time off since he returned from his suspension.

Although I think this new RB they signed is just as fast as Brooks-James.

Maybe after dealing with a druggie like Martavis, they didn't want to go through that again.

And of course Cain has a reputation for dropped balls. Wonderful.

That’s why I said a chance or we can sit here and complain about how bad our offense looks.

Something new I’m not aware of? It’s not worth arguing he’s already in Seattle. It just seems people want to complain about our O and our WRs but don’t want to take chances on a talented player.

He is talented but not motivated to play football is my take on him. Ungodly talent.

I hear ya but unfortunately the perfect player isn’t sitting out there unsigned. Sometimes you have to roll the dice.Too late in this instance anyway.

Whyte ran a 4.36 at his pro day, and 2 career kickoff returns for TD, I expect to see him a lot on special teams.

This guy could be a steal, if he regains his previous playmaking ability, he had a ACL tear in 2018.

    Possible. Also cap space.

I would have loved to find out what he could have done here though. I think he will do well in Seattle, Carrol/Wilson is such a better fit for him than Brady/BB. I don't think that system fit him.

Well now I have my answer why they cut Brooks-James. ST is the reason and rightfully so with DJ out for who know how long.

impressive. But can he catch the 3-yard passes that Fichtner allows Rudolph to throw?

Call me nuts, but I got the feeling that Whyte could be one of those guys who just needs a chance.

We're due a diamond in the rough, no? Doesn't that happen on other teams?

Don't get me wrong, I think giving a first round draft for Minkah? was worth it but with all of the issues we have on offense we are massively going to miss having that pick. Not sure where he went to last game though.

Unless Switzer's arms are broken, I don't really see what the difference would be with him being the returner. I mean, it isn't like he needs/used his legs or feet! Stand under ball and A. waive your arm or B. feel the wind of the kicking team touch you and fall over.

I think one thing that man of us are forgetting is the 3rd we used to trade up for Bush. So now we used next years 1st and 3rd to get 2 starters on defense. Here is what we have right now:

    Round 2
    Round 4
Round 4 From Dolphins via Titans
    Round 5 From Jaguars
    Round 6
    Round 7

What is not shown is the 3rd round comp pick that we "should" get. I have not gotten into the draft prospects but I feel we still have enough draft stock to get some good players and/or move up for one. Lets face it who is better at finding late round WR's and lately getting a RB isn't the thing to do in the first round. While it is nice to have the first rounder I think finding a guy like Minkah is well worth the loss of it.
