someone tell me WTH this means

Rudolph after the game said Mike Tomlin told his team to "chew" on it. He always says that and I have no idea what it means. So tired of his cliches

 

It just means to think about what happened and learn from it. But he says it so much that it kind of loses its meaning.

He basically means for them to think about it. Realize what they did wrong. They earned that asskicking, time to learn from it.

 

I also think it means, "We play these guys in two weeks. Think about how you are going to respond."

And by respond I don't mean some sort of cheap ass retailiation, but rather the Steelers have a chance to whip their butts at home and he wants this to fester and get them worked up for that game.

 

It means contemplate on this game. We got the bungles in Cincinnati and the Browns back in Pittsburgh for week 11 and 12.

 

Tomlin's #1 flaw: he never learns from his mistakes.
