Great between the 20’s. Suck in the red zone.

I can see your point, job security and all, but I just can't see that happening. I think Ben knows that MR is not going to displace him and Ben has always seeed to want to win at all cost. But....I see your point:cool:

I thought Ben was calling the plays. Ok mason if nobody is open hold the ball. Criticize your receivers if you throw a pick to a dlineman. Chuck it to ab in triple coverage. 3rd and short, go deep. There this week's game plan is installed. :smiley1::cool:

Hell no on Ben calling the plays. I don't want to see Rudolph throwing 40 yards down the field on 3rd and 2.

Ben who? ......Might as well face it, Big Ben is now Has Ben. I don't see him starting next year, and frankly I don't want him to. Just don't think he has it anymore, so why go back to him? Time to move ahead. Might be painful for awhile, but it's time. It just is. I think he could be very helpful, if he's willing, in grooming either Mason or whoever we draft at QB, into a true NFL starting QB. IMHO, time has finally caught up with Ben. His body has been abused and beaten much more than Brady's, or any other QB his age. He could still be a great help to the Steelers in a different role than "player". Just my thoughts.

Yea....I know......but, I'm an "old" fan, seen a lot of Steeler QB's come and go, and I realize that all good things come to an end (unlike a lot of people here who apparently think BB can play forever), and I can see that his time is really over and we should move on. I know that's not popular, and I'll get flack for saying it.....but it's the truth.

I agree with everything you've said. I've been a fan since 1979... and I'm a Steelers fan before a Roethlisberger fan. I appreciate what Ben has done.... help provide 2 more Lombardis for the trophy case, but yeah... he has declined and I fear this elbow injury is a nail in the coffin for him.

It's gonna be funny how much the Patriots fan base will decline after Brady retires. I'd say over half of them are Brady fans before Patriots.

They are playing aggressive defense, don't you think they would have benefitted from this style of play more with Ben at QB?

My God, they would have been killing teams. I know Fitzpatrick has a lot to do with whats going on but that quote pisses me off. They were obviously game planning differently.

They didn't have 10 first round picks on defense before, of course they were game planning differently, they couldn't trust that secondary before this season. I saw a stat that the percentage of plays Dupree and Watt dropping into coverage is very low compared to the last few years.

I've never heard of watching your tv while lying it on the bed facing a ceiling mirror. Is the color better?

This is one thing that honestly scares the heck ot of me. I'm just hoping they don't chase this fool's gold and give him a contract we will regret.

People really don't think this through. Reality is... if Roethlisberger wasn't on IR, Steelers don't get Fitzpatrick. Steelers would've been 7-9 at best with Roethlisberger and no Fitzpatrick. Truth, fact and reality.

No truth, facts, or reality to back that statement up. Davis going on IR was the incentive to go get Fitzpatrick. We were paper thin at FS and had to do something.
