I noticed that too, he makes a good or great catch then goes to the sideline. I'm yelling at the TV for him to stay in the game as he was producing the most.

They drafted those players because they were good WR's at the collegiate level.

It don't matter to me who the #1 is as long as someone produces and I think it will take more than 1 to produce. Win baby win..........

It is great to see him stepping up and becoming a receiving threat. He has already established himself as a very willing and capable blocker.

Wrong. Receivers have different roles like LB and DL.

I am not wrong. WR's in today's NFL line up in a variety of places with in formations. WR's can be interchangeable parts with in schemes. As a result, offenses attempt to create favorable match ups.

I believe the Steelers have 3 young versatile WR's that can have success. The offense can create match ups that get those players the ball in a variety of situations ie screens, short, intermediate, deep. Did you notice that on the charts you posted? This isn't 1980's football where WR's simply line up in one position the entire game.

Sure in theory but you need somebody who can run and win a go route. To open things up. JW and DJ were drafted for that. They tried making JW into that all last year and like 5 weeks this season and nothing. Once they finally stopped doing that he has been great. I've posted the charts to prove it. I can post DJ charts but he's not a deep threat. He's too tiny to begin with. Unless he ends up being a Tyreek Hill which isn't going to be the case because he doesn't have that elite speed. So we have 3 WR all running the same routes. It's working but useless.

Offenses don't need a WR who can run a go route to win football games. Go routes are lower % passes anyway. That being said it's nice if a team can have an effective deep threat. It's not essential for offensive success though.

I am not sure what DJ's size has to do with anything. I believe DJ and Brown had around the same measurements. Young WR's typically struggle entering the NFL. Washington improved from year one to two. I think DJ will take a bigger leap. He seems to be a more polished route runner than Washington and Juju.

The problem so far were dropped passes and inconsistent QB play. The injuries to the RBs certainly doesn't help.

Not much can be done to improve the RB situation at this point. Number 40 seems to be a nice change of pace back. He could see a larger role as he gains experience. I think the concern with him is that he's small and if he can hold up in pass protection.

The QB and WRs are young. They've had some good moments together. Let's see how effective they can become as they develop together.

You might be the only one that thinks DJ was drafted to run the deep route. I think they see him as AB 2.0 & the full route tree.

I thought the same as you and was completely baffled when proven otherwise. He was drafted to be on the outside.
