.....anyways back to the subject.......I am thinking they need to add balance. While I was screaming for some quick passing I also want to see MR stretch the field. We have talent (some don't think so) and we need to use it. I feel all 3 guys Juju, DJ and JW can get open deep, we need to attempt these play to take the pressure off the run game. I am tired of seeing these guys try and baby MR, take the gloves off and let him loose. I heard on the radio that half the teams have had back up QB's so far, so we aren't the only one's without our star and yet we are like 3rd to last in offense. Let's go mix it up get MR in rhythm and use our talent........

    Hey MojaveDesertPghFan.

Yes, I just posted this also about the "D" stepping up. I hope we have turned that corner where we can now start to count on them and have confidence in them to make stops. Especially, late in the games. I am starting to feel that confidence. I hope it is real.

Back to the original post, yes it is time to stop babying Mason and the "O" overall. I keep saying it: "The man knows how to play". I believe in the incremental approach to giving him a little more each week but I think we can turn it up the process a little more than what we have been doing and also at a faster pace. As I have stated, we should be in Playoff mentality from here on out. The "D" has done an exceptional job of putting the "O" in great positions. Now it is time for the "O" to capitalize more. More TD's less FGs. STEELWINDS

Agree with this. The field needs to be stretched 2-3 times a game minimum. There are tons of injuries around the league this year. The shock of losing Ben should of worn off by now. I’d like more creativity and trying to establish a rhythm for MR. Too many times a nice pass play is immediately followed by a run up the middle. Try to get him hot and keep it going. Anything positive this season is a bonus. Loosen the reigns a little bit. The D is looking formidable and something you can finally count on. Have a little more faith in them by taking some more chances on O. How much better would the D be if the O was sustaining drives and scoring points?

Especially if we are winning in the 3 quarter and the coaches think we should be running the clock down all conservatively! It's 2019... getting conservative will inevitably allow the losing team to creep back into the game

That's my point. We are playing for MR to not make mistakes and lose us the game but that seems to be when the biggest mistakes are made. First drive against the Rams and pinned inside 5.. They gave the Rams 9 of their 12 points. Not letting MR throw inside the 10 against the Ravens and Samuels throws an int and they score a TD and was the difference in the game.

I'd rather let MR play then if he makes a mistake via int then reel him in. Upside is points. Upside of the other way is a punt. Is this making sense to anyone?

Yeah man it is pretty funny how they have been treating Mason, almost like he has never passed before. The game Duck started he was throwing all over and when Brissett got hurt Hoyer came right in throwin. I know Hoyer is a vet but if he was any good he would be playing right? It is time to let Mason free and see what he has, this way if he isn't any good or the coaches don't think he is out future we can move on. jmo
