Are the Steelers a better team than we think?

These are costly mistakes that should be engrained in their minds each day. 16 games is not a lot. We win one more last year then we are division champs in the playoffs. Instead, we are sitting home watching them. That sucked. Yes, as a coach myself there are basic fundamental/situational instances in every sport that the athlete has to know when and where they apply. I was, but am no more, a fan of this coaching staff. I do support them because they are the Black & Gold. Otherwise, I really have very little respect for the key three: HC, OC, and DC. Yes, in away they are somewhat equally responsible for these blunders as the players are themselves. STEELWINDS

 

Need to add Special Teams in the mix as well.

 

I'd add ST coach as well. How is Danny Smith still with this team?

Trust me. Yeah, I did contemplate on putting him in there too. Then I figured why bother. He is so insignificant as it is. STEELWINDS

 

We are more competitive defensively. ST and offense
need work. When will our coaching staff understand that ST's is important?

 

This team is not as bad as some say they are and not as good either. The only embarrassing game was the first one. Erase that and you got some pretty close games. Losing by 4 points to a San Fran team is very respectable given they could possibly be the best team in football right now.. Sure I have my problems with this team but its remarkably not much different then since forever.

I could not agree more. Besides the Cheats game, realistically we could be 7-1 except for some untimely blunders by anyone not named Mason Rudolph, who some around here want to entirely blame for our woes. I for one, feel he has been weathering the storm just fine. Now, if the coaching staff would just open it up some more for him and let him showcase some of those abilities that he displayed at the collegiate level.

I know, I know that is college. Well, what else do we have to go off of? We only have a small pro-level sample which I think is decent. Obviously, the scouting team saw something that they liked at Oklahoma that brought him to Pittsburgh. He, along with James Washington, lit it up there. I was pretty amped up to know that the "battery" mates came in here together. Hopefully, they can find that same chemistry here in the 'Burgh. STEELWINDS
