Well the Ravens just put a complete ass whooping on the Pats making the division that much harder to catch up too. The Steelers best chance at the playoffs right now as we sit here tonight is a wildcard spot. They have a great conference record right now at 4-2’in the AFC which is huge when it comes to head to head tiebreakers at seasons end. They are only a game out behind the Colts now who are 5-3 to the Steelers 4-4. They have head to head tiebreakers over both the Colts and the Chargers who all of a sudden have found some life beating both the Bears and Packers the last two weeks and are now 4-5 and right on the mix. And even though the Bills are 6-2 I don’t see that lasting and the Steelers play them head to head down the road and they have a tough schedule and can be caught.

So at this point unless something unforeseen happens the Steelers as we sit here tonight are not gonna catch the Ravens for the North and their best chance of a playoff spot as I mentioned Is a wildcard spot which is very much still within reach.

Beat the Rams this week and get to 5-4 and then you’re last 7 games consist of 2 games with the Browns, Bengals, Jets, Cardinals, Bills and Ravens. Their is a clear path to 9-7 and dare I say with some good luck maybe even 10-6 with tiebreakers in hand and a good AFC Conference record where 9-7 should be good enough to get this team in the playoffs as a wildcard team and even keep them in the mix to still compete for the AFC North as well given the Ravens difficult remaining schedule.

Yeah that Ravens difficult schedule isn’t challenging them.
    Ugh.

Yeah I dont see them catching the Ratbirds.

But the Steelers schedule aint too bad. Bungals should be a W. The Browns are a dumpster fire right now. They get them twice. The Cards and their rookie QB. Jets are terrible. So that leaves the Rams, Bill, and Ravens (which they should have beat the first time.) Now they could lose some of the ones they should win but the also could beat any of those teams to be honest. So its not outside the realm of possibility to make a legit wild card.

Ravens will shoot themselves in the win column before long, bank on it.

Somehow I'll wager they won't be alone. The home team will surely have a bad lose or two in them.

Lots can happen during the next 8 weeks. I still worry about playing down to teams remaining on the schedule. Cardinals and Jets for example. Those 2 games have "trap" written all over them.

The Cardinals aren't bad at all. After the Ravens, Rams and Bills, that is the toughest game remaining on the schedule.

The Jets are a dumpster fire. The Steelers are capable of losing to anybody, but that would be particularly disturbing. The Dolphins didn't just beat them. The game wasn't even competitive. They are very real contenders for the No. 1 draft pick.

For all the "can't miss" absolutely irrefutable certain beyond a doubt prognosticators (positive or negative) - I offer you the only certain determinant.......... upload_2019-11-4_8-28-28.jpeg .
For me, I'm just going to tune in each week and see what happens to the Steelers and all the parity driven yo-yo teams in this league. Yesterday was the perfect example of "On any given Sunday...".

Bottom line: just keep stacking wins, and the rest will take care of itself

Agree to all that. If we arrive in the playoffs as the 6th seed, what then? I think it would be a useless exercise, except that if we got that spot with a winning record that would probably mean Mason played good the rest of the way. We could then call it a better than expected year and not be humiliated like we thought we were going to be after the first few games.

The NFL network had a stat today that if the Steelers make the playoffs, they would be the first team in NFL history to make the playoffs with their leading passer, rusher and receiver all 24 years old or younger.

They have built a pretty good team and of course it is built around Lamar Jackson. While his passing has definitely improved can he continue to put his body out there for the run game. History has not been kind to running QB's.

To say the Steelers cannot win the division is to say the Ravens will run the table. Did we forget they lost to the Browns? This is the NFL, anything is possible.

I just think they are still a young team & will not run the table or finish with his only 2 more losses. Cheats had a bad game more than Raisins being a powerhouse team.

    Playoffs?

    One game at a time.

Somebody needs to post the Mora video clip. It never gets old. Classic.
