I think that goes out the window when Chick is still on the team.

Trouble, how? He was graced by the presence of Belichick and dropped his addiction. But seriously, these guys had to deal with AB. I'm sure Gordon would be a breeze.

You make it sound like he's AB. Dude likes to smoke weed. Majority of the league does. Plus, they have experience with these type of players with Bryant. It's for 9 games then evaluate. Low risk. Cut Moncrief, get a 3rd, and Gordon. It's a no brainer.

No I am not making him sound like he is AB, he is a guy who has a problem. Ok if it is just Pot and the majority of the league does it why aren't they getting suspended? No Thank You

As for Moncrief I am all on board with that, I have said that before.

A lot of players have. This is how the testing goes. There's one test for pot before the season starts. Everybody knows the date, weeks/months in advance. You have to be a complete idiot to fail it or not playing attention or screw up on your math of it being out of your system. You fail that test then your in the NFLs system and getting tested randomly and need to be clean for months to get out of it. This is what Bryant and Gordon couldn't do. They couldn't stop smoking for months. Meanwhile, their teammates are. You ever watch an AB ig video during the season? Dude couldn't even open his eyes half the time. They test you after games.. They are looking for PEDs and that's it. Nobody has ever failed for weed during the season.

This is the time to just roll the dice. We are not going anywhere, let's be real, so we might as well see if we can find pieces for next years run. Maybe we can rekindle the talent he had before, although our coaching staff had a poor track record of keeping headcases grounded, so we will see.

Gordon admitted in a 2017 interview with GQ he began abusing drugs in seventh grade. The Houston native said he tried Xanax, marijuana and codeine to "self-medicate" and deal with "adolescent trauma-based fear."

July 2014: Gordon is arrested for driving while impaired in Raleigh, N.C.

Careful with absolutes. I don't disagree with the premise but I'm sure there have been guys that got caught during the season.

    LMAO :roflmao:

As for Gordon, my first reaction was if NE can't get him going, how will we but then I realized that he just needs to do better than Moncrief. So yes, bring him in.

He's a good guy that has some demons, NE players love him, he wouldn't cause a single drop of trouble here.

    Hey Blast.

Yes, we are looking at two potential issues here. I really only know of Gordon's weed issues. I have never heard anything negative about attitude issues. Unfortunately, he just seems incapable of shaking the weed issue. Kind of reminds me of Martavis Bryant. The story seems to parallel that of Gordon's. I would take Bryant back in a heartbeat if he could keep clean. I know there are many fans, and players, that downplay the whole weed thing. However, the rules are the rules and must be abided by. There are many rules and laws in this world that do not make sense and have us shaking our heads. However, like I said rules are in place for a reason, like them or not. STEELWINDS

No, definitely no. He is better than all the Pats receivers other than Edelman. Pats let him go for a reason.

    Belichick's ego?

Not everything the Pats do is right. (Unfortunately, they are usually good enough to be able to survive the bad choices.)

Count me in. I'll make the call tomorrow to the front office and get Kevin right on this. Better yet, I'll call him tonight. I heard he is still out celebrating the the Fitz trade.

What happened to him in Cleveland? I think Bill used him while he was toeing the line. Apparently he cannot seem to stick with a team. Not like the hoodie let's his ego get in his way winning SBs. Don't know why that was even part of your argument.

It’s a numbers game. They have Harry coming off IR . They are getting very good production from Meyers and they really like their other rookie whose name escapes me right now. Somebody had to go and they are keeping young talent. That’s how I see it. IMO

I doubt he falls far enough through waivers for the Steelers to take him, but they should if they get the chance. They clearly have the need at receiver and it doesn't cost them that much if he fails.

They just took Chickillo back, so they clearly aren't done with players who embarrass the organization. At least Gordon has talent.

No ..... he just hasn’t produced near to the level his raw talent says..... why? And Belicheat cut him, why???

We have JuJu.... DJ couldn’t be covered and once he and Mason get on page watch out..... Also Washington is still playing well and getting better Every game..... there’s some good chemistry happening here .....

Still cut Moncrief and sign back Rodgers....

I'd rather have Martavis Bryant than Josh Gordon if we're gonna pick up a pot head.
