Conner hurt, Samuels hurt, Snell hurt. We are down to practice squad RB Edmunds.

Bell is being wasted on the 1-6 Jets. Gase has no idea how to use them. Send the Jets a 5th rounder and get Bell back here and instantly we have a shot at the AFCN or a WC.

If we roll if Edmunds + street FA we lose vs the Colts which effectively ends any chance of winning the division and probably a WC.

Nothing to lose here -- Bell is still good and would instantly be the best player on offense for us.

The Jets would want something a lot higher than a 5th for Bell.

A 5th and Switzer. Hell we can even throw in Moncrief.

Even assuming the FO would want to do that, it really can't.

Steelers have $3M in cap space for this year. Bell's cap hit this year is $9M, so we'd somehow have to clear $6M.

For 2020 the Steelers are actually estimated to be over next year's cap right now. Bell's cap number next year is $15M and you can't cut him because if you did after this year his dead money cap hit would be ~$17M, although that may be wrong since I think that signing bonus money would stay with the Jets (not sure though. Not a capologist.)

Regardless, we don't have the cap space.

When is Samuels coming back? our RB crew is dinged up and regardless I want to see what Edmunds can provide in clean up duty.

We need another legit NFL caliber RB. If Edmunds gets hurt we are literally putting Switzer in the backfield.

The Pirates would want way too much for Josh Bell. He's staying put. (although he'd probably make a hell of a LB or TE!)

I am having a hard time thinking of any NFL who would or even could take On Bell. High salary cap hit, Jets need to get some return to save face.

Who is willing to give up significant draft capital and has enough cap space for an RB that hasn't shown that he can still play at anything remotely close to Pro Bowl level?

    Benny, Benny, Benny.

Yes, Bell would be an instant upgrade. However, drumroll please.... He does not care about The Black and Gold. If he did he never would have left. I am only saying this if he had absolutely no say in the matter of being traded back. Bell in my opinion is one of the greatest players in NFL history. Given that, his success is highly dependent upon having the right supporting cast to take on his style of running. He knows this. No sane person would of traded what he had here in Pittsburgh to play for the Jets. He had it made here. A future HOF in my opinion. I would take him back. I really just do not think he cares.

Once again, I would greet him with open arms. In part because of our injury circumstances but also because I have mixed feelings about him in which I am leaning towards bringing him back. Brown too. That is if both of them could adopt the concept of "Team" which I think is impossible for either of them. I knew the drop-off was going to be significant with the two of them leaving. However, there were those on here who were delusional that JuJu and Connor were going to seamlessly replace them. Sprinkle in Ben's injury and there you have the recipe for the dish labeled "Disaster". Too bad and what bad luck that B, B, and B all went away for different reasons all at the same time. I am pretty sure we would be in first place right now if the B's were all playing for us right now. STEELWINDS

    Right church. Wrong pew.

I would be talking to the Jets about Jamaal Adams. I hear he is on the block.

Trade Sean Davis, Artie Burns, Bud Dupree,Terrell Edmunds or whatever else it takes.

With Minkah and Adams as our safeties we would be set for a DECADE.

They will want high draft picks, not some scrub players from another team.

This is not shocking, Gase never wanted him.

We don't have the money for him so thats not happening, plus Bell had unkind words for Ben. Awkwarrrrd.
