1.) Fair enough. My mistake on that. Regardless, costing your team possessions decreases your chances of sustaining drives; scoring points no less.

2.) The thread title says it all. This is not even accounting my other point. Randy has not been able to place his receivers in winnable situations very often. How is he going to do that with a Wide Receiver who is nevermind limited in versatility but also route running?!

3.) Last year I agree with. This season?! Get back to me by seasons end.

In short?! A molehill does not make a mountain. For that matter, Diontae Johnson has done well enough in my opinion. In addition, he has shown he can be used in more roles than D.K. himself; routes no less. That is not the issue here.

As I said, how would this team look without Devin Bush?! Care to explain?! For that matter, how would the defense look?!

    :applaud:

This is all I am stating directly. D.K. can be a good to great receiver in time. One of the issues will be how limited he will be in his career due to his ability and flexibility shortcomings. My biggest issue however is something he cannot even control; his side of the ball he is playing on.

My major takeaway is the very same aspect it has been after Troy Polamalu retired. Even with the "Killer Bs", how was that defense?!?! For that matter, what are the "Killer Bs" years going to be remembered by?!

Great offense... little to no defense.

    To quote Bear Bryant:

"Offense sells tickets. Defense wins Championships"

Why else has Pittsburgh been able to compete so well in games that they have had a chance to win?! Last year, the defense could not even stop the likes of the "Offensively Offensive" Broncos team. This year, the game against Los Angeles demonstrated how far our defense has grown and most importantly, how much more it needs to grow.

Remember, in SDOT GM’s world we could have gotten Bush and then traded with New England to get Metcalf because they would (of course) preferred to get our 3rd rounder + a 6th round pick instead of the 3rd and 4th that they actually got from Seattle.

Should have known!!! Silly me!! It is not like Pittsburgh tried to overpower teams with Offensive Firepower or anything like that this decade!! Building a strong defense is outdated and most of all asinine!!

Who does that anyway?! Building a part of the team to stop the opposition from scoring!! What was I thinking?!?!

Well you believe that I will continue to have hope. I am not one of the rose colored glasses guys around here I call it the way I see it but I am not ready to call it a season just yet. Our defense is coming off a couple pretty good games, we just had a bye week to get somewhat healthy and we have the Dolphins as our next game. We are 2 games out a lot can happen. Now if you want to say you things don’t look good with all the injuries I am fine with that but our season is far from over. Jmo

    This.

Mason has the tools to be one. The issue is not him. Will Randy let him cut loose?!?!

I agree and if he doesn’t this Monday I don’t know when he will. I know MR is coming back from injury but holy cow we have almost 2 weeks of practice to get ready to play. Add into that we are playing the dolphins, almost don’t get any easier.....not that any game is easy this is the NFL.

Your not watching tape then. He's better route runner than Bryant in his rookie year. Better feet and absolute unit, hard to tackle.

He would have looked so good in black and gold :crycry:

Very impressive indeed. D.K. is a speciem. Both me and Elvis get that. However, I can top that

How so, you may ask?! You wanna know who was MADE TO BE in the "Black 'n Gold"?!

A top 10 pick falling out of the top 10; free falling no less?! Quite the facisnating hypothetical indeed. As much as I would be interested in listening to your trade proposals, please note that Green Bay was also looking for someone to pair up with Blake Martinez. Nevermind them, Denver would have snagged Devin Bush anyway.

Again, being widely reputed as the best defensive player in the draft makes it very difficult if not impossible to fall out of their projected draft slotting barring extreme circumstances. Devin Bush had none of those. He was going Top 10.

I'm not talking about Devin Bush, that move was fine. I'm talking about sending a 6th round to the Cardinals to move up 6 spots and grab DK. That's it.

Which sixth round pick??! Highest was the Raiders; Sutton Smith being the pick. The pick itself was a great pick... just could not stay healthy sadly.

None of this matters however. For that matter, this question is still being avoided, so I will ask it again. How versatile is D.K.?! Not talking about just merely different alignments in Offensive Formations either.

You keep making this into something it's not. It has nothing to do with Bush or Juju. It's DJ vs. Metcalf. As far as versatile... I've seen him stop on a dime and catch a ball at his feet against us/Nelson. Catch a GW td on Edmunds. He's good at running the slant. I've seen him go up over two people and snag the ball. I've seen him not go down on initial contact or one tackler(video above) You saw his footwork(video above)
