How can the Steelers win this game Sunday night in LA??

I think the Steelers defense will at least give them a chance to win this game on Sunday night. I think it will be a close game going into the 4th quarter. Keep in mind Phillip Rivers is not having a great year so far. He has struggled a lot so far against the good defenses he has faced. I think if the Steelers can get pressure on Rivers in this game and hit him and sack him a bunch and get some turnovers they will have a good chance to win this game.

Hodges of course is gonna have to play mistake free ball most of the night as well, but this Chargers team right now is pretty banged up and while it’s still going to be a very tough game for the Steelers to win I still think this game will be very close late and I don’t think it’s an absolute slam dunk that the Chargers automatically win this game like a lot of people are saying.

 

Outscore the other team.

 

Fitzpatrick or Haden on Keenan Allen... instead of Williams or Bush. No offense to our ILBs, but damn... they can't run with Allen. Just plain common sense. Let Bush and Williams worry about Gordon.

I watched Jackson look over at Vince split wide in coverage last week and get burnt across the middle(thank God there was a penalty), but Jackson followed that the whole way. We have learned nothing from last year. Butler is so friggin stupid waiting for different results from doing this.

Number one thing they could do to help win. Leave for the coast this morning and spend two days adjusting to the time difference and jet lag.

Actually I'm not sold on that jet lag. My 60 year old wife just went to Napa Valley and back and she didn't complain about it at all. These are young men. I flew to Hawaii twice from East Coast when I wore a younger mans cloths and had no problem. Now going to China kick my ass!!!!!

This. Do not let K. Allen or the rbs beat us. We now have a solid secondary.

 

The Chargers have serious problems on the offensive line. They have been without their left tackle all season and they just put Mike Pouncey on IR. The result is a team that allows as much pressure on the quarterback as any in the league. The Steelers need to take full advantage and get consistent pressure on Rivers. It would certainly help if they had a game-plan for covering the slot receiver that has a realistic chance to succeed, something that they didn't have last year.

My big concern is Hodges throwing interceptions. The Chargers have a full week to prepare for a rookie quarterback and Duck made some dangerous throws in his limited time against the Ravens. If he can be smart with the ball, there should be opportunities because the Chargers are missing key guys all over the defense.

So steel machine is the piano man. Who knew? I wonder if he is still friends with Davey who's still in the Navy and probably will be for life.

 

We get the ball first and get a FG. Then all the Steelers fans in attendance charge the field and they have to call the game.

 

It smells like a late FG that will give the Charges the win. Not totally decided on this yet, but if the Charges get down in the second half, you can expect Rivers to wing it. He's been good to me over the years in fantasy football since the Chargers have a crappy defense and usually get down early and then let Rivers heave it all second half. Good for racking up fantasy points bad if the Steeler secondary is not awake.

The other thing that might help the Steelers is that no one attends the Charger games. That place is usually pretty empty so maybe Steeler Nation takes over the stadium and helps the Steelers get over the hump.
