Who is worst? I have to think both are literally bottom 5 in the NFL. We honestly can’t get better coordinators in Pittsburgh?

the faster this coaching staff is completely blown up the better. And I’m not even including bazooka Joe. He is possibly the worst ST coordinator as well! What a fing joke.

Between the two currently?!?! Fitchner takes that spot. It used to be the thinnest of margins but now, it is shrinking for Butler and expanding for Ficthner.

Again, it is one aspect to directly telegraph you are safeguarding your Quarterback from making mistakes by using checkdown passes more often than not. That really is not progressing your Quarterback as much as one believes. That however, is not the issue.

It is another aspect that must exist in another universe all together to opt for your second string Running Back to pass over your Quarterback. In the second series of the game no less. That is a not just a complete lack of trust in the Quarterback but also complete ineptitude as Baltimore was preparing for it all week.

Butler still needs the boot by seasons end if not sooner. I am not going to reiterate my issues with him. However, Fichtner leaves a lot more to be desired at this current point in time.

Fichter has lost far more on his side of the ball to deal with. Qbs, fbs, rbs, tes, wrs, o-line coaches, rb coach, wr coach.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought “checkers, not chess.”

Lets take this a different way. If you can only get rid of one of them, which one do you chose?

a good coordinator adapt the game plan to what is given to him. Fichtner rolls over into a fetal position and murmur “Killer Bs”

I thought OP was wondering who would win between the two. That would be like watching a monkey try to hump a beach ball.

For me it is a no brainer Butler, while the defense has improved the last few games it still gives up the big play on 3rd down. This has been a staple for as long as I can remember with Butler. On the other side I will say this Fitchner has changed things up to try and help a struggling unit. I will say look at all that side of the ball has lost and I feel Fitchner is doing all he can. Lost our Qb and down to out #4 Qb and our FA WR can't catch a cold. By no means am I giving Fitch a pass but if I had to choose one to go it is Butler 100%.

Butler by far. Williams still split out in coverage. Really? It's like groundhog day.

Huh, huh, huh George is my friend. I'm going to kiss him and hug him and.......

in game adjustments?????? Are you kidding me? It takes three years to make an adjustment on defense.

    Hhhhmmmm...

So you say both coordinators are bad... Special teams coordinator is bad..

    Could there be....

    Might there be....

    Perhaps a little trend???

These coordinators seem perfectly perfect keeping with the current Steeler coaching theme

Well if you get rid of the head coach all 3 coordinators follow him. Problem solved.

As Tomlin rolls over the other way dreaming of riding the coattail of a previous coach to success.

    Those were the damn days
