They have Tevin Jones on the practice squad, not that it will help much.

 

If he doesn’t under these circumstances, why the hell is he still here? Gonna wait until we lose our comp pick then cut him? Play him or cut him this week.

 

Current reliability, top 5 targets: JJ / DJ / MCdonald / Vannett / Conner

Right behind: Holton (Speed), Switzer (hands, 0 yards), Snell (unproven), Gentry (come on...), Moncrief (no comments).

Quick fix: bring back Eli Rogers.

Yes, McDonald is an issue there...

Eli needs to get signed by us before the ratbirds get him.
We are thin at WRs, TEs and now Rbs... (and QBs...)

 

They either need to give Moncrief another shot or cut him now and sign Rogers. Like most here, I prefer the latter option. I would prefer it even if it wouldn't possibly help them get that compensatory pick in the third round. Holton has mostly been useless. The same is true of Switzer. Whether it is the finger or some other reason, Moncrief can't catch. Rogers showed the ability to make a few plays in the past. There are so many issues for this team that can't be easily addressed, but that one seems to be fairly simple.

 

No amount of defense can make up for the offense lost on this team

 

Moncrief if he can catch by now is probably our best option. After that Switzer, it's where we are at.

 

It’s a shame Washington got hurt. It looked like he was starting to build on something. I always felt he was much more capable than just going deep. He was doing nice work in the middle of the field. Nice catch and run on the play MR got hurt.

Eli >Holton, Switzer and Moncrief. Eli seems he would be the better option for what they’re trying to do on offense. Intermediate routes that move the chains. Need to exploit the middle of the field. McDonald always hurt and Vannett still finding his way. Eli could provide another security blanket for our young QBs.

 

What about this week? Eli isn't on the team yet.

I am still waiting as to why Pittsburgh will not cut Donte Moncrief. It is truly intriguing to me. A healthy scratch gets to stay on the team but someone who can contribute cannot?!?!


If anything, I would rather just bring Tevin Jones up from the Practice Squad. See what he can do. It can not be any worse than Moncrief.

 

Moncrief now has a cast on that dislocated finger.. this should be good lol
