Harrison was lied to and kept on the bench when we could have used him. Tomlin didn't just lie to him, he hurt this team by not using him.

James had every right to go to a winning football team and play. If Tomlin wasn't such a ****ing moron, James would have retired a Steeler. This is all on Tomlin, not Silverback.

    Because Tomlin.

I agree a lot with this look at some of our biggest names that have retired recently, Troy, Ward and Harrison. None of them have anything to do with this team. Troy and Ward went on to get involved with another league(failed) and now Ward is working for the Jets. Yeah Ward was here for a bit but why aren't we getting these icon's involved with our team????? Is it Tomlin, the Rooney's, Colbert or the players themselves........that is the burning question and we may never know the answer.

So Harrison‘s actions were OK then? You’re OK with him sabotaging the team for his own selfish reasons? Quitting on your team is OK because you were promised playing time and it didn’t work out? A coach has to make tough decisions throughout the course of a season. I was one of the people who thought Harrison should be getting more playing time.
And just because he was probably a better option than Dupree at the time doesn’t make his actions justified.

Player/team divorces rarely ever end well. Mistakes were made on both sides. I’m always gonna choose to remember how great a Steeler he was between the lines. I’m not gonna trade that SB ring in and ignore the memories of his career here because of the way things ended. To each his own though....

I agree 100% this was beat to death and now still is. Both sides were wrong but when JH was here man he was great and he is our all time sack leader. That SB run was one of if not the greatest SB play of all time and I will not forget any of that.

You know I pegged you a lot of things Glenn but not a traitor. I'm very disappointed. That type of behavior is very telling. I think I was right when I said you were a closet Chiefs fan.

I would rather call him “he who shall not be named”. He’s not a Steeler. He gave up the right to be viewed as a Steeler when he signed with the cheatriots. End of story.

I bet you were lovin Tomlin when they won the Super Bowl in 09. Things change. Going to the Patriots in the middle of the season and trying to help them tie us in Super Bowls is a big change.

That POS SOB MF tanked on us in a SB, knowing he was going to the Jets after it was over, and there is no convincing me otherwise. NO way you put Harrison in the same category as that b*st*rd "he who shall not be named". :club::nono::nono::nono::rant:

I must have missed something along the way. When/how did JH sabotage us? When did he quit on the team?

I'm getting a little older and maybe my memory is failing. I seem to remember a player who worked out harder than anyone preparing his body to dominate. I remember watching our defense struggle to put pressure on opposing qb's and inexplicably seeing him on the sideline game after game. Then I remember saying it serves Tomlin right for Deebo to be playing for the enemy.

But why couldn't MT see that and throw him out there?

Of course I did. I probably wore his jersey. When he decided to quit on his team it’s when I quit on him.

I guess you forgot the part where he slept during team meetings ,refused to practice if he wasn’t going to play, wouldn’t help the younger guys and demanded his release.
