Maybe the players had something to do with that?

Maybe utterly foolish play calling in the 9ers game, complete lack of preparation in the Patriots game, piss-poor clock management and coaches challenges falls on coaching and hard play for a young rookie QB falls on the players?

 

This is where Ben covered up a lot of Fuchtner's weaknesses.

 

Most of those games included Ben We’ve been slow starters beginning seasons and games for years

 

What I meant was Ben's deep throws early hid Fuchtners weakness as a play caller because it kept the D on their heels.

 

So everything good is on the players and everything bad is on the coaches. Damn Tomlin fumbling the game away in OT.

 

I am starting to think that Ben did not want Haley because Ben wanted someone who tells him what he wants to hear versus what he needs to here. Since Fitchner has been the OC, the Steelers have been passing the ball willy nilly with Ben. Now, without Ben, Randy REALLY just does not look lost, he likely is.



You already know my thoughts on Keith Butler. No more need be said here.



Danny Smith the same. Not worth critiquing either.

Anybody know what Mike McCarthy is doing these days? Pitt native like Cowher...just curious....also has a little spit and vinegar in him.

 

How fitting that those "Silly Run/Pass Ratios" Randy mocked during Training Camp is likely the very idea that gets his head out where the sun does not shine. No Ben means those "silly" concepts are now a joke of themselves. So far without Ben, Randy has been unimpressive.


For a guy who heaped immense praise for a Quarterback like Mason Rudolph, one would suspect he could develop a game plan arouns him to assist and maximize his strengths?! This is an Offensive Coordinator's job after all; ensuring that the team can deploy the best 11 men on offense to not just sustain drives but cash in points. Guess what?!?!








Randy has done NONE of that!! Instead, he has done something someone who lacks faith in their Signal Caller does!! He hog ties Mason for Four Games. Only when Mason gets knocked out does Randy FINALLY realize that unleashing your Quarterback to actually throw the football can not just keep the defense honest but also sustain drives!!! In fact, only one way to descirbe this new phenomenon that Randy has discovered:







If the Ravens game was not telling enough, time to find out how much confidence Randy has in Devlin Hodges. I mean, Devlin is the All Time FCS Leader in Passing Yards. It is not like the guy lacks talent to sling the football. Then again, those same sentiments were said of Mason.... and just about NOTHING became of that!!!



Who knows how Randy will treat Devlin!?! Will he call plays in a conservative manner?! Will he let Devlin actually throw the ball?!?! To be determined.



Regarding Keith Butler and Danny Smith, not worth critiquing. They are what they are. Nothing more need be said here.



Better yet, Tomlin is running out of reasons he should stay correct?!?! Keep in mind the Steelers have been very Un-Steeler like this season. Do I expect Tomlin to be gone Mid Season?! Heck no. End of the season should the futility continue?!
