At least this week, Hodges should get some, if not all, first team snaps in practice.

They didn't necessarily need the reset (I just added that because it happened) ,but I get what you're saying.
When they didn't use the timeout with 28 seconds, I knew they were only getting a FG attempt (if they were lucky), and more than likely the TO would not be used.

Really you think I don’t pay attention well I guess there is no reason to go back and forth with you on this if you don’t know how to talk to people.

They screwed up the time management again, plain and simple. They missed out on another opportunity for a TD. They could of thrown a sideline pattern to get out of bounds to stop it or a shot to the end zone which if landed incomplete would of stopped it. The only thing they may not have been able to do was complete a pass inbounds but like you said probably still had time for a spike. They played scared and for a FG. IMO.

Juju said after the game that he was impressed about Hodges play, especially because Hodges didn't get any first string snaps during the week.
I thought that all coaches gave their backup QB at least a few snaps with the first team during the week in case the starter got injured. I was surprised to hear that they didn't have Hodges work with the first team for even one snap.

Tomlin doesn't manage the clock, the clock manages Tomlin.

Yes true story here while the offense is struggling and our defense is getting sacks and turnovers both are to blame. People think cause you get turnovers and sacks the defense is doing the job but what they don't see is the 41.8 3rd down conversion rate. The defense is kicking butt on 1st and 2nd down but then gives up the big play almost half the time on 3rd down. Don't get me wrong the defense is on the right track and making plays but it still needs to tighten up. I also think the showing last night by SF showed a little more about their defense than our offense. jmo

isnt that part of the problem as well....the defense cant get off the field....if they are on the field for 80 plays, that means they themselves arent making stops on third downs and helping themselves....or does this go back to Butler being inept....I think the answer to all of this is YES, we need a change on all major fronts. we need new blood, we need new schemes and we need a new identity. I watch other defenses have no issues covering players that we simply let run free.....how is that? Its bad coaching, bad schemes, bad game management, bad everything.....they simply arent getting it done and its obvious....obviously!!

The defense is getting stops until they’re worn down. When AB would run free is it because the opposing defense was bad or he is just that good? Same with gronk? Brady? Great players are hard to stop that’s what makes them great. Russel Wilson is a great player and runs free against everyone.

Come on aren't you paying attention it is all the offenses fault!!!!!! Great post the defense can't get off the field on 3rd downs. Like I said before the defense is improving, Bush has put together 2 nice games now. The fact that we are down to our back up QB has to be factored in and now our 4th sting QB. I don't take the blame off the offense but I am not giving the defense a pass either. jmo

The way they have handled him would certainly suggest that but then why trade Dobbs?

Just because they could get more for Dobbs?

Just because Fuchtner is an idiot?

Maybe our coaching staff has never looked at his college film?

They traded Dobbs because they finally realized he wasn't very good. They may not fully trust Rudolph yet, but they saw that he was clearly better than Dobbs. So was Hodges. They were lucky nobody grabbed Hodges while they waited a week into the season to find a trading partner for Dobbs.

In 59 I was driving for a bird colonel and he was inspecting the 7th cavs CBR readiness, and when we drove through the gate the guard saluted and said gary owen, the colonel said did he say carry on, he was ready to stop and chew him out untill I told him he said gary owen which was an important piece of their tradition....

Phil Robertson the guy who started Duck Commander, you may remember him from the show Duck Dynasty that was on TV quite a few years, actually was a really good college quarterback.

He was the starter at LA tech, but gave up football, and was replaced by a guy named Terry Bradshaw. Because he said he liked to hunt more than play football.

Must be something with guys who can use duck calls and throw the football.
