PSA to Steelers fans

So since the Steelers are one of those 10-15 teams this year that we can say have no chance, can we honestly say the blown call doesn't matter? Gee, I hope so, it will reduce the bellyaching I keep hearing.

 

Outside of the Patriots game.
Steelers need to have one game where they jump out of the gate. They usually don't and it costs them the game.

Slow start against Seahawks, had to replace Ben, it took till late in the game to Rudolph to start moving the offense.
Slow start against 49ers didn't capitalize on turnovers.
Slow start against Bengals, but were winning at halftime by 7, but Bengals aren't good.
Slow start yesterday, was 10-0 before we had a 3rd possession and 17-7. Luckily a Hilton Int before half got it to 17-13 at the break.

In 4 games Steelers played decent 2nd half football. You got to play 60 minutes not 30.

Maybe someone needs to remind Coach Obvious that a game is 60 minutes.

We always year after year start the season slow. You would think we would do something different in pre season like play our starters more...

 

But the Germans never bombed Pearl Harbor, that's fake news. The Japanese bombed the Harbor..lol

I'm actually enjoying watching the steelers more this year than in the past. There is no high expectation for success so there's much less frustration when we lose. Unlike the past few years, we aren't favored each week. I can actually enjoy each individual success and appreciate good performances. In recent years, I would expect the offense to click and the defense to dominate. Neither happened with any regularity, and that was frustrating and made it hard to watch them. So many squandered opportunities.

 

Along with "green font", "beating off defenders" and a certain quote from the inimitable Pimply Dan. But then again they get us Geezers when talk of the latest X Box games and similar devices comes up.

 

Loved it and am happy it all worked out for him. That poor guy had a tough 6-7 years. Now he will freeze his ass off in Alaska.

 

This sounds like one of my diets. I'm gonna stop eating bad stuff, but I REALLY like cake. I'm going to keep eating cake.

Btw..I pretty much said I wasn't watching any more last week,so I'm also a hypocrite. A fat hypocrite.
