I don't know what to make of Rudolph

I'm not talking so much about ultimate production, I'm talking about his willingness to look downfield.

 

One of the things I read after he was drafted last year was from his coach in Stillwater was that even though he operated alost exclusively out of the shotgun and spread formation that once the Steelers drafted him he was already seeking advice on taking snaps from under center and a pro set offense. I think it shows his dedication to learning all that he can. As we have said through out this discussion I think they are having him look at the short routes to just gain some confidence and following what the coaches want.

He seemed to be looking downfield in the Seattle game and making throws. Has anyone looked at the coaches film for those to see how he was going through progressions?

 

I think it's different from when Ben took the helmet. He had a great oline and coach. He had Hines and Bettis as seasoned vets. A great OC that schemed to his strengths and then Big Ben was created. And, the rest is history. If MR, would have that ... then, we all would be excited about this young guy as well. But, right now, he's handicap in all areas ... that I have named.

 

Steelers fans will be complaining about Mason scoring too quickly.
