Steelers vs Bengals Pregame thread

Might as well call it a playoff game because that's pretty much what it is. Almost a month in with no win lol.

Yeah, this is a must-win for both teams. The Steelers would have to be near flawless to make the playoffs if they lose.

 

If the Steelers somehow lose this game tonight and they do it again because the defense can’t make a stop when they need too late in the game then Mike Tomlin should be under an enormous amount of heat come tomorrow. The Bengals are not a good team and really stink on defense and can’t run the ball either. There are just no excuses what so ever for the Steelers to lose this game. It will be one of the worst losses Tomlin will suffer I feel if they let the Bengals come I’m here and win this game. This is a golden opportunity for the Steelers both tonight and this Sunday against the Ravens to get right back in the thick of this division race by winning these two games.

This is the game to prove that the first 3 games losses were because of transitions on both sides of the ball and starting slow... barron, nelson, bush, losing Ab, Ben hurt, etc.

Bengals are a bad team. Bengals are banged up. We are at home...primetime after losing 3 straight.

We know what Butler is, we've seen it for a while. I suspect that Ben covered Fichtner's weaknesses for a while now and tonight will show us more.

 

They'd better start strong or else the crowd is liable to turn on them, and I wouldn't blame the fans a bit.

Well Butler has been preparing for Eifert since last year when he was on IR. We have that Stone.

 

Just joking. There's plenty of teams who haven't won a game yet... so it's not like the Steelers are the worst team in the league. However, losing to the Bengals will put us into competition for being the worst.

I guess we kind of know what Butler is, but do we know if he's even running the defense he wants to run? Is Tomlin calling the shots on D? Whatever is going on, it's not good.

I'm the new HeinzMustard. Hell, I predicted 6-10 with Ben under center. Steelers could win tonight and I am still 100% sure they won't be in playoffs but I sure the hell will enjoy and be excited with a victory tonight. I took so much **** already today around town with my Steeler jersey on, the boys have got to win for me tonight.

I'm sticking with 7-9, which is very realistic at this point. Steelers are gonna win some games and some of the wins will be impressive, due to talent... definitely not coaching.
