We all talk about the weaknesses and the poor game planning and play calling. What would you do to make the best of our weaknesses? It's too late now because the plan for the week is in place but............

    For me:
Tomlin: Tell Sarrett to edge back toward the system and schemes Munch ran. Have a come to Jesus meeting independently with Fichtner and Bulter and advise them to play some fundamental football as if their job depended on it!

    Fichtner:
Let Rudolph show us what he has and create a game plan with a good balance of run, short pass, deep pass, crossing patterns, and a little Samuels.

    Butler:
Bench Barron and insert Matakevich, continue to pressure the QB, and be willing to adjust in a heartbeat!

    Tomlin to the mirror:
Pretend like you care, be willing to do something during the game, wait until after the game to craft your cliche`s

Should have made adjustments and plans years ago .. Safety has been a huge problem for years ... We also had a chance to move Pouncey to Guard when we had Big Doug .. The reason I mention that is DD is the only OL who can really pull scheme wise to hard to pull the Center ,as a result we can only run our pull plays one way effectively and Teams know it.. ...Had we kept Doug at Center and moved Pouncey to Guard we would have 2 great pullers and we could run our plays both ways ...If we could do that our run game would be much better and our PA game would be much better as well ...

STOP THE RUN. Get off the field. Leave it in the red rifles hands.

I want to see them give Rudolph every chance to show his abilities, otherwise, all the draft picks we have given away lately make it tough to find our next franchise QB.

Your guess is as good as mine but here is what I was milling around in my little head.

    1. Ben is old and recovery from elbow surgery is iffy. By draft time, if Rudolph isn't for real and Ben has any complications, well........
    2. If we turn things around and some of our young talent steps up and we look like contenders by the end of this season, it stands to reason that we may use the limited picks we have next year or even the picks from 2021 to shore up a weak spot; further depleting our ability to get Ben's replacement.
    3. Just the general idea of being short on draft picks when your HOF QB is nearing the end is a bit scary.

I wanna see Rudolph have the handcuffs taken off him and this damn defense get on the same freakin page for a change and make a stop late in the game with the game on the line. I’m tired of hearing the miscommunication excuses every week. It needs to stop and it better stop tonight in this game.

If we are contenders it's because of the kid we already have. We are not going to become the browns picking qbs every year. We got a first rounder for a first rounder. We gave up nothing really. We weren't going to find the next franchise qb with the 5th we have for a te we liked anyway. We actually brought in two we liked. It's not liked we pulled a ditka move.

Open up the passing game so we can see what MR can do in a regular season game. Get Samuels more involved. Get sacks and pressure Dalton into throwing picks. Manage the game from a situational stand point and make adjustments on the fly. Get a big lead and not let up, keep doing what got you the lead.

Maybe it's semantics. I think there is a big difference between "above average" and "elite" and Rudolph could easily be above average but the odds of him (or any other backup) being elite are slim.

Granted, he's easy to miss. He's usually only out there for the one play it takes for the other team to score when he enters the game.
