Easy now. The Steelers aren't the worst team in football.

Fitzpatrick had a good game, he showed more in 1 game than Davis has showed his whole career. He had a int and a FF, a good start for the newcomer.

Clearly, everyone has a scorched earth attitude right now. Grumble about the subpar o-line play if you must, after all, it has been just that. Lament the terrible run blocking.....it has been crappy. Throw the spotty WR play under the bus, it's been a problem. Pass protection, garbage today, for sure. Inconsistent coaching. Fire Butler, hog tie Fichtner, excoriate Tomlin, etc. BUT, no scenario makes the Fitzpatrick trade a bad move. It was a solid move by the organization. The problem is that that one move isn't going to fix all the problems and the spoiled natives are getting restless.

Then why do you disagree when I say something negative about the Rooney's? They're the enablers here.

We’d use it on a project OLB with all the physical traits but rough on technique.

He looks good, is proven and knows defense.

It’s like getting a purebred puppy that’s already house trained.

    Who doesn’t like a puppy?

If we did get the first pick, we took fitz. We also get pick 33 at the top of the 2nd round. We don't have a 3rd because we used 3 on bush. We may get two 3rds. One earlier, one late. (Oakland for AB- comp for bell). Two early 4ths.( Ours and miamis for the fitz trade). A 5th from oakland.(AB).

We better hire flo so we can bundle.

So far, he's my favorite puppy in the whole litter. (although he looked like a puppy when the 49ers fullback got ahold of him)

Agree with he played well. Best safety player we have seen on the Steelers since Troy.

The best player on this defense since Troy.
I wouldn't trade him for 5 Terrell Edmunds.
I can picture 5 Terrell Edmunds out there on defense, running around, bumping into each other.

We don't have a 1st round pick, If we win the rest of our games either...And if we do go 0-16... We'll get the 1st pick in the 2nd round plus Fitz

I'm happy about the trade because I like Fitzpatrick's talent. He helps us. However, there is no guarantee that he'll improve if he is learning Butler's defense.

Butler is more than likely done after this season unless we pull off a miracle.

I'd also consider that a miracle.
If the Steelers don't finish top 2 in the AFC, Butler will be fired?

That’s what it would take for me. No telling what the Steelers will do though.

Ray Guy was taken in the first round and it was an amazing pick for the Raiders. A punter as good as he was made a huge difference in field position.

    I love puppies.

But if an intruder is trying to get in my house, I'd be wishing that money would have gone to a full-grown Rot or a Sig Sauer rather than the puppy who would do no more than excessively lick the intruder.

Going into next year (and yes, I'm writing off this year), that's the position the Steelers are going to be in. Metaphorically, of course.:smiley1:
